Fight (song)

I've removed the merger and notability tags from this article, as it placed in the top 10 (not 24th, as you've suggested to the anon who queried it) in the largest competitive music festival in the world. Precedent, furthermore, has been that any song performed onstage at ESC is eminently notable, due to the fact that it represented a country in an international competition. Belated agreement

re: Your ole post in Template_talk:R_to_section

My gut feeling is that there is little substantive difference between Template:R from subtopic and Template:R to section. What is unfortunate is the merger of concepts underlying Template:R from subtopic and Template:R with possibilities as it is a truism that almost all tolerated titles and named concepts have the possibility of becoming an article though there might be a very small probability of this taking place. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 02:07, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

• I'd never heard of Template:R from subtopic(edit talk links history) before this, but I agree. There's maybe a gnats eyelash of difference between the two. In general, I've been tagging the section linked to with {{Redirectstohere}} as well, so there's an back notation (no link) suggesting changing the title is a bad idea! Vandal Wermania

That tagging was done by user that purposely registered himself to vandalize articles related to Croatian victims of war crimes done by Serbs.
I've reported that user to admins.

He's been blocked. I don't understand your change from speedy to PROD. Being a hoax is certainly not a criterion for speedy deletion, but I didn't nominate for speedy deletion because it's a hoax, I nominated it for speedy deletion because it's non-notable. If the hoax non-criterion trumps the specific CSD criteria, wouldn't it be true that any article that meets the other criteria could exempt itself from the reach of speedy deletion merely by adding a fake source? I strongly disagree with the closure of this AfD. While I am, obviously, not exactly an impartial observer, it seems to me that there is clear consensus against this article. Removal of speedy delete tag for Inga Liljeström

Hi, I am not sure why you removed the SD tag on article Inga Liljeström and converted it into a redirect to Inga Liljestrom; as you can see from the lead of the latter article, Inga Liljeström is the correct name (see also the singer's website and the album covers) — as such, the redirect should go the other way round, which is exactly why I tagged the article {{db-move}} in the first place. Are you calling me a liar? The Internet has almost no coverage of rural towns and villages in Africa ask anybody so its not surprising google doesn't pick it up. Africa is so poor in parts that putting their village on a website is the last thing on their minds. I've just checked the Phillips World Atlas again and it lies approximately 40 km north of Zaouiet Reggane in central Algeria. Thanks for notifying me anyway. Its a shame that there is very little information on Africa. I have added prod templates many times to entire province articles which covers thousands of sq kilometres in Africa yet only have a two line stub. Hmm. The only thing is whilst the detailed map shows up many of these settlements there is quite truthfully zilch info to go on. Should wikipedia be a reference point to say where something is or should it provide information about that place? In my view it should do both and provide at least some basic facts. This is where the fundamental problem lies that wikipedia despite its global reach will inevitably be biased because of the uneven distribution of information. If you see anymore geo stubs with no google hits -I'd strongly suggest a merging into List of towns and villages in ... Province or Algeria etc... ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ ^{"Expecting you?" Again I guess its what wikipedia means to people. There are those who think it should collect any given topic under the sun and those who believe much of it should be filtered out like a formal traditional encyclopedia. I created those stubs over a year ago I think - i haven't done much work on municipalities for a very long time. My work on wikipedia is now chiefly involved with Films and actors, Tibet and Cambodia with the odd artist/writer article rather than geo stubbing. Ah never mind -you can't say I didn't try. In reality many of these villages in the desert are not exactly of global significance anyway are they!!! but I was trying to cover land more evenly. Regards and keep up the good wikiing. By way of explanation - I realize that the typical path for stalling a PROD is to remove the PROD template and the typical path for a speedy delete is a holdon-template. I added a holdon to the PROD, and should have explained this, because I felt there was the possibility that the article could be preserved in some fashion, but I did not know at that time what form the final product after some minor work would be. If I had not found sufficient material to support retention in some form, I would have deleted the thing myself thereafter. I am a bit surprised at the form it is in now, half of it devoted to the impact of the festival on business in Asheville and the why behind the impact. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 18:42, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Dreadful? No, not nearly so. Don't hesitate to delete when you encounter something you think should be - or to contest deletion if the tables are reversed. This was a simple case where my coming very late the article and not providing ample explanation combined with your looking one way and not both when crossing the street ... which everyone does a lot of the time. No problems - I'm just glad that my gut feeling was right in the end. There'd be plenty of egg on my face if it turned out I couldn't find anything out there to build the article on. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. WikiProject Pharmacology Update

Here's a brief update in some of the recent developments of WikiProject Pharmacology!

• Aspirin has just completed its two week run as the first Collaboration of the Week! Many thanks to those editors that contributed; the article got a lot of good work accomplished, and in particular, much work was done in fixing up the history section. It's still not quite "done" yet (is a wikipedia article really ever done?), but after two weeks I think it's more important to push onwards with the development of the new collaboration of the week program. I will be fixing up Aspirin in the next few days and possibly nominating it for either GA or FA status.

• Muscle relaxant has been selected as the new Collaboration of the week until October 2, 2007! This article is currently rated as a "stub", so it's got quite a bit of work cut out for collaborators! Admittedly, featured status could be a long way off,... but still attainable! At the least, maybe we could at least get it up to meeting the Good article criteria? Please stop by the article and help improve it.

• Resveratrol, having recently achieved GA status on August 16, 2007, is now making a run for featured status. This is quite a fascinating compound. If you can, please stop by its discussion page and leave comments in support of it.

• Please remember that Wikipedia is not a forum for discussing or dispensing medical advice amongst users. Specifically, talk pages of articles should only be used to discuss improving the actual article in question. To help alleviate this situation, the template {{talkheader}} may be added to the top of talk pages, reminding users of the purpose of such pages. Additionally, unsigned comments and comments by anonymous users that are inappropriate may be removed from talk pages without being considered vandalism.

• There was an interesting article on ZDNet last week about Hewlett Packard licensing its patented microneedle technology used in common inkjet printers to be used in transdermal patches to deliver a time-controlled release of drugs to patients. This information could be added to articles such as route of administration or drug delivery.

WikiProject Food and Drink deletions

I did not know your intention, if that was the intention there is a spot on the projects main page for listing articles for deletion. I am of the opinion however that it is better to list the articles under AfD as the issue gets dealt with in an expedited manner. Otherwise the tags may never get noticed as there are so many of them, I constantly see articles listed on our project that get ignored. That said, if you'd rather use WP:PROD, I think it is better to put the articles on the main page under the section already created for it as putting it on the bottom of the sorting page as it can get lost under all of the AfDs on top of the page.--Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC 02:22, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
