Upon further examination (thanks to your message), I think this is probably a valid G3. If there was even a shred of evidence that "Tyler Padalecki" was an alternate name of Sam Jones, I'd change it to a redirect, but there really doesn't seem to be anything. I'll delete it - thanks for bringing this error to my attention. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 11:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hello, JavaTenor, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place helpme after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! xC | 19:27, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

a cappella

I'd be happy to see you adding quality, well-referenced articles about a cappella to wikipeida. My main concern with the articles I have been nominating for deletion has been that the articles were derivative of the information available on the group's websites or written from the personal experience of the members rather than from independent published sources. As for specific sources (and there's no reason you need to consider my opinion authoritative), I would prefer that you not cite sources like IMDb and personal webistes, although the game credits are obviously reasonable. Published sources (either books or periodicals) are of course the most prefered. Savidan 22:08, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the future, please inform me when mentioning my name on various noticeboards. I've re-opened your thread at WP:BLP/N as I have only now become aware of it. — CharlotteWebb 02:07, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

speedy tags

You should not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you have created yourself. The hangon tag was the appropriate choice. A good read would be the criteria for speedy deletion, which gives the various reasons an article can be deleted quickly from Wikipedia. It's possible that the other editor will still nominate the article for deletion under the articles for deletion process, which is a five-day, open discussion about the status of the article. AfD's can have a variety of outcomes between keep and delete, including keep with caveats, merge, redirect, etc.

That said, the other editor's point that the article is currently mostly unsourced is an important one. I would suggest trying to find reliable sources about this person to flesh out the article. One English language source would probably be appreciated by other editors, especially if this article is nominated for deletion. Although I'm not aware of any requirement that sources be in English, that does not mean that such a requirement does not exist. Natalie 23:32, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I should have actually checked the page history - for some reason I thought you had created the page. In that case, it is acceptable to remove the speedy tag, but I think it's considered polite to give a reason on the talk page (unless it's an incredibly obvious bad faith speedy nom) or possibly get in touch with the person who tagged it and explain your reasoning. Natalie 23:38, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WoW Glider

I heard about it on The Instance Podcast (TheInstance.net) who have GM's who supply them with leaked information, however that's sketchy. But they said they read about it on WoW Insider. Let me do a bit of research for a sec. Maurauth 17:57, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah that appears so now, I thought it was fishy, but the show was released on the 3rd of April, not the first. Maurauth 18:06, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

stop putting a speedy deletion on my article you moron. Are you so smug and self important that you have to tag everything you dont understand? The Pleasuredrome is London's premier gay sauna and I'm in the midst of documenting it. I would appreciate it if you would leave the page be. Pearcedolan

Welcome

Hi, JavaTenor, and welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area task force!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles relevant to the Bay Area. Here are some points that may be helpful:

 • Our main aim is to help improve Bay Area-related articles, so if people ask for help with an article, please try your hardest to help them if you are able.
 • Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page. It is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
 • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, which you are welcome to participate.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

Again, welcome! We hope you enjoy working on this project. ~~~~

Your note

If you could e-mail me a couple of the links, that would be very helpful, thank you. SlimVirgin (talk) 23:43, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sterling Johnson Jr.

That's really odd for a U.S. District Court to be claiming copyright in anything. Agencies of the U.S. Government aren't supposed to do that. In any case, we shouldn't ever cut-and-paste from other sources, even if there's no copyright issue, for reasons of style and formatting if nothing else. My RfA

Hi JavaTenor. I'd like to thank you for your support of my RfA. It was closed at surprising 75/0/0, so I'm an admin now. MaxSem 22:22, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit to Allan Ray (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. It is my humble opinion that reverting somebody's copying of the content from Ray Allen to Allan Ray was indeed a legitimate edit, but I will allow the reader of this talk page to draw his or her own conclusions about my discretion. :) JavaTenor 16:52, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Much appreciated. ;^) Crum375 01:36, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA ...

Hi. Thanks for supporting my request for adminship. It was successful and I am now an admin. If I can ever be of help, please let me know. Cheers, Black Falcon (Talk) 06:56, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The text in this article appeared in a philosophy article about values. It was clearly (to me, at least) way off-topic. It addressed none of the standard philosophical issues. So, I placed it in a separate article, linked from the philosophy article. It might be better merged into something about environmentalism, gaia, or something like that. The whole thing well-predated the current Wikipedian fashion of wanting references, so there was no articulable reason for deletion at the time. So, briefly, if you make it a candidate for deletion, it's no problem for me. Ray Van De Walker 18:14, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy dispute

WikiProject Musical Theatre wants your help!

You are listed as either an active or an inactive participant of WikiProject Musical Theatre. This project has been dormant for a while, but we are very close to reaching consensus on several of the project's main documents (see the talk page for details). Once we get that business and formality out of the way, we are all free to attack the musical theatre articles of Wikipedia and have a wonderful Musical Theatre party! We want you to be a part of that!

So, come and join us! Add your input to the last few business items and then let's get this party started!

P.S. Invite your friends to join to! We need all the help we can get!

I noticed that your edits were impressive and so I've decided to award you this Original barnstar! Good job on vandalism fighting too, BTW. Wikidudeman (talk) 09:35, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your support in my Request for Adminship. Unfortunately the nomination did not succeed, but please rest assured that I am still in full support of the Wikipedia project, and I'll try again in a few months! If you ever have any questions or suggestions for me, please don't hesitate to contact me. Best wishes, --Elonka 03:36, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fabrictramp RFA

Thank you for your support in my Request for Adminship, which passed with 50 supports, 1 neutral, and 1 oppose. My goal is to keep earning your trust every time I grab the "mop". (And I'm always open to constructive criticism and advice!)

Also, big thanks for spending time on the Dead End Pages. --Fabrictramp 16:51, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bearian's RfA

Hi, thanks for supporting my RfA, which passed 63 to 1. I really appreciate that you wrote such nice things about me. I hope that I am doing good so far. Bearian 20:46, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My recent RfA

Thank you for supporting my RfA, which unfortunately didn't succeed. The majority of the opposes stated that I needed more experience in the main namespace and Wikipedia namespace, so that is what I will do. I will go for another RfA in two month's time and I hope you will be able to support me then as well. If you have any other comments for me or wish to be notified when I go for another RfA, please leave them on my talk page. If you wish to nominate me for my next RfA, please wait until it has been two months. Thanks again for participating in my RfA! -- Cobi(t|c|b|cn) 01:44, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Admin coach

Are you still interested in being an admin? I saw your request on the requests page, and after taking a look at your contributions, decided that I'd be willing to coach you. Are you up to it? bibliomaniac15 18:43, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll create a subpage for you at User:JavaTenor/Admin coaching. We can also communicate via e-mail, if that's what you'd prefer. Since we both live in California, it'll probably be easier to communicate on Wiki anyway. Admin coaching is mostly questions and possible scenarios, so there's a lot of answering to do. bibliomaniac15 21:26, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. I'll answer the questions later this evening (I have to leave the house for a few hours this afternoon). JavaTenor 21:37, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need to tell me. I'll check the page periodically, and I have it on my watchlist. bibliomaniac15 05:55, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I posted some new questions on the page that you haven't replied to yet. bibliomaniac15 00:52, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Still thinking about the essay, or should I go on? bibliomaniac15 04:06, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't come up with anything good on the essay front yet, so if there's another project you'd like me to work on in the meantime, that would be fine. JavaTenor (talk) 07:02, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
