Thanks for removing the redlink that failed MOS:DABRL, I should have spotted that!

However, you seem to be under a misconception regarding project banners on dab talk pages. In general, a dab page should have no talk page at all, except if there is something to discuss (typically whether or not an entry belongs on the page, or whether or not there is a primary topic, and if so what it is). There was a time a while ago when some editors went around adding the dab project banner to dab talk pages, but this is now actively discouraged. However, if there is a real discussion at the page, there is no harm in adding the dab project banner.

The India project banner was correct at the time it was added, since the article at the time it was added permalink was not a dab page, but was about the town which is now at Mahal, India. The banner is no longer correct, since it now belongs with the latter article, not the former.

The Middle-earth project banner should never have been added at all, since it applied only to one entry permalink in a (badly-written) dab page.

In general, it makes no sense at all to add project banners to dab pages, since if they were added for each project relevant to every topic covered, the result would be a meaningless and useless profusion of banners.

Accordingly, I'm going to remove the India and Middle-earth project banners from the talk page. If you wish to restore the India banner, I won't revert you, since I don't want to get into an edit war on such a trivial matter and it is possible to make an argument that most of the topics relate to India - although it is not helpful and sets a bad precedent. The Middle-earth banner remains unacceptable, since it relates only to a single entry.

In fact the "best" solution would probably be to copy the single sentence on the dab talk page to Talk:Mahal, India and then delete the talk page, but I don't think it worth troubling any admin to do the deletion.

Please note also that the dab project is not "my" project, I am not a member of the project, and it is not my main focus on Wikipedia.

Kurdish article

Hi. Well done for finding that that article was in :ckb and correctly tagging it A2; but the A2 template, when it expands on the page, gives you a better message than the A10 one to give the author - it explains the problem and points him to WP:Translation for the correct way to import an article. You can see on his talk page what it looks like. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 19:35, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi John and thanks for the reminder. I know how the A2 talk page thing looks like but I first tagged that page with an A10 template by accident and left that talk page note to the author. Then I changed the speedy tag to A2 but didn't fix the talk page note because it says essentially the same: articles that exist do not need to be copied around. And I had also left him a note earlier that this is the English WP where articles should be in English. De728631 (talk) 19:54, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. It's refreshing to encounter a foreign language article that hasn't been tagged G1 patent nonsense. JohnCD (talk) 20:25, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, that practice seems to be increasing lately. De728631 (talk) 20:40, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, could you rename the Gabor Herman page in Gabor T. Herman page? That's his actual name, I guess, and then the link from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomographic_reconstruction should work as well... Thanks (I don't know how to do this).

Undoing

Hello De728631, you reverted this edit of mine because they are ... rather unprofessional fan art. I get your point, but why are they on Commons? Lotje ツ (talk) 04:15, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose they are on Commons because anyone can upload their own images to Commons and from my own experience the check if something is in really scope of the project is rather lax. As long as it isn't a copyright infringement, Commons tends to be very liberal with hosting images. Maybe I should tag those for deletion. De728631 (talk) 17:48, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, maybe not a bad idea. Lotje ツ (talk) 17:58, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of Beynon Sports Surfaces Installations

I noticed you recommended that my list of Beynon installation be deleted. I would have to strongly disagree as they will be attached to the main article concerning Beynon Sports Surfaces which is being written at the same time. There is a link at the bottom of the page which directs you to the page that is being worked on. Since neither are live then they won't be connected until then. I want to create everything first instead of just continually added pages. This is why I am not going live with them yet.

Speedy deletion declined: Tarondor of arnor

Hello De728631. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Tarondor of arnor, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not a recently created redirect - consider WP:RfD. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 20:18, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear De728631, I placed an Article "Autograph Keys" about Armenian software, which You mark as Non-notable. But for Armenians it is a very important software, becouse it is the only Keyboard which types Armenian Currency - Dram Sign. (Dram Sign accepted in 15-June-2011 by Unicode Technical Committee - http://unicode.org/alloc/Pipeline.html ). This software is important not only for Armenians from Armenia - There is a huge Armenian diaspora over the world. And will be good, if they find this ability to type own currency sign (Dram) accepted in UICODE sysytem in 15-June-2011. So, I and a lot of other Armenian s will be thankfull, if You leave this article not deleted. Also we have Armenian dram sign article from were We wont to have reference on Autograph Keys. Reliability is only one part of WP:GNG. It also needs to be independent and contains "significant coverage". An interview is not independent. Mentioning a tour date or mentioning she showed up to a movie is not "significant coverage". Bgwhite (talk) 19:36, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Estha Divine : CSD?

Hi, I noticed that you posted some comments on the author of the article Estha Divine. I was the person who originally looked at the article and flagged it as needing translation. I'm awful at foreign languages, and I hate to mark things for speedy deletion based on a Googletranslate result, so I marked it for BLPPROD. I'm (very) sure you know more French than I do; could you perhaps take a look at the text of the article and see if it fits CSD:A7? I had a feeling it might fit, and a similar article had been deleted before due to A7, but as I said, I'd hate to speedy delete something that I can't read for myself. The author seems to be wrestling with sources and references, and given the language barrier (at least with the text of the article, if not the user herself), I'm not sure I'd be able to help her with them myself; a speedy delete might save her some headache in the end. Thanks! Writ Keeper 23:17, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I don't know any sufficient French at all, the message I left at the author's talk page was a prefabricated template. I have however found a reference but general notability is still questionable. First of all we need to have this translated or it will be removed after 2 weeks anyway. Object to deletion of verbatim description

Dear colleague,

Now that you have deleted the description of the species from Shi and Grant, we may aswell delete the whole article. It is without any value now. If you make a full source description that is all right is it not? Anyway, if it has to be like this I will propose the page for deletion.

Object to the deletion of categories not yet in existence

Dear colleague,

How am I to build a set of wiki pages if my colleages jump at every opportunity to delete as much content as they possibly can. There are many categories that do not yet exist, but flag an intend or at least a need to create such categories. You cannot seriously expect me to first make categories and only then adjusting pages that should contain these categories.

I find all of this very demotivating. I am devoting hours to make a page, which is then in stages deconstructed by several colleages. It seems that there goal is to be zealously following unwritten rules they make up themselves, whithout regard to the people how put in efforts to build an encyclopedia that is as informative as possible.

Please remember wikipedia is not an online game to outwit other player.

A declaration of consent for use of that image was submitted to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. I hope this FINALLY takes care of this situation. Wikipedia is waaaaay too complex and very user-unfriendly. Grand National Cross Country Series Edit

Hi,

My edit to the GNCC_Racing page was changed due to "being non-neutral". This change should not have been made. I work for this series and the company who promotes it. I cleaned up the "History" section of the page due to it needing rephrasing, and minor details changed. If you could please, review it and have it changed back to my edit, which is the proper history of the series. Thanks! Bolt-On Is Awesome (talk) 22:48, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo!

Since you are coming in on the backside of this situation, you aren't up to speed, so let me get you there. The information the anon is readding fails WP:RS and WP:OR and was on the page for over a year before I removed it awhile back. No effort was made by any editor to add sources to any of the information. So, the information is original research and per the OR rule, is to be removed. I did just that.
