Yellowjacket is the name of several fictional superheroes and super heroines appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Most of these versions exist in Marvel's main shared universe, known as the Marvel Universe.
Hank Pym
Hank Pym is the first character to take on the Yellowjacket code name in the modern mainstream Marvel Comics. Pym was also known as Ant-Man, Giant-Man, Goliath and later as the Wasp. The character has been associated with several superhero teams in the Marvel Universe, including the Avengers and the Defenders.
Rita DeMara
Rita DeMara is the second Yellowjacket in the modern mainstream comics who debuted as a supervillainess. She joined the supervillain groups known as the Masters of Evil and the Femizons, DeMara later became a superheroine and joined the ranks of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. She was killed by Iron Man who was under the control of the super villain Immortus.[1] She was then later resurrected in the Chaos War storyline.[2]

In the Ultimate Marvel version of Yellowjacket is Ultron who Henry Pym in the persona of Yellowjacket, creates android duplicates of the Ultimates, and is in part responsible for the murder of the Scarlet Witch, motivated by jealousy, as it had fallen in love with her, but she had feelings only for her brother, Quicksilver.[3]

- In an episode of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Hank Pym begins to suffer from a personality disorder, fakes his death and becomes Yellowjacket a fearless new vigilante and begins taking out the members of the Serpent Society.[4]
Film
- In the upcoming 2015 Marvel Studios film Ant-Man actor Corey Stoll will portray the film’s main antagonist Darren Cross, a former protégé of Pym, who takes over Pym's company and acquires Pym's technology to create the Yellowjacket suit.[5]
Video games
In the video game Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, Hank Pym’s Yellowjacket alias appears as a boss fight for the anti-registration, voiced by Wally Wingert.
Toys
- Hank Pym as Yellowjacket is the 58th figurine in The Classic Marvel Figurine Collection.
- Yellowjacket was included with Wonder Man in wave 11.
After Hasbro took over Marvel Legends, Hank Pym in his Yellowjacket persona was released with the second series.
- A figure of Pym as Yellowjacket was released in wave 11 of Hasbro's 3.75" Marvel Universe.
