Did you request closing the Emerson merge per a WP:ANRFC request? For some reason, I thought you requested a deadline for discussion. == Just an FYI about IPT... ==

As a previously involved editor, I thought you'd like to know that the recent BLPN regarding the template on IPT has closed, (not yet archived), and the determination was that the template was a violation of BLP per [[WP:BLPGROUPS]]. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#Investigative_Project_on_Terrorism] Notification was also posted to the Template's Talk page. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Islamophobia#Investigative_Project_on_Terrorism].

Welcome!

Hi, Djrun, Welcome to Wikipedia!

You can help improve the articles listed below! This list updates frequently, so check back here for more tasks to try. (See Wikipedia:Maintenance or the Task Center for further information.)

Help counter systemic bias by creating new articles on important women.

Help improve popular pages, especially those of low quality.

I hope you like this place--I sure do--and want to stay. If you need help on how to title new articles check out Wikipedia:Naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and The FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check The Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or The Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on My User talk Page.

Additional Tips:

Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!

  • If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like &#126&#126~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
  • You may want to add yourself to the New User Log
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.

Happy Wiki-ing. -- John Fader 18:43, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:200520-1085980625.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. WikiProject DC Template

As you're removing NBA players who are only partially related to DC, I've been attempting to remove the DC wikiproject templates from articles about non-notable Redskins and Senators players. Some guy obviously went through and tagged every single person from a team with the DC template. If you care to help out there as well, it would be appreciated. Best, -epicAdam (talk) 17:36, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There's not much we can do to prevent users from readding the template, except be vigilant. The user who originally added the templates (User:Dinosaur puppy) hasn't been active on Wikipedia for almost a year. Hopefully he wouldn't bother to redo anything like this without responding to the discussion first. Best, epicAdam(talk) 01:06, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Reason

Okay, to be totally honest, my reason for removing that image from the EPMD article is because it is beyond a shadow of a doubt, pointless. Come on, a t-shirt? Of all things you could have uploaded, you uploaded a t-shirt that for all we know could be a bootleg. It really serves no point and is just an unwelcome cluster on two articles. Template:San Bernardino County, California

See my response at Template talk:San Bernardino County, California — you're nowhere near the first person to think of this question. Nyttend (talk) 20:04, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Darn good one, too. Your definition, I believe, is the correct one. There's no city government in a place like, say, Cadiz. It was little more than a railroad siding at best even in its heyday. Riverside County has a few places as well. Vista Santa Rosa comes to mind. So does Thermal. Both are listed as unincorporated by county-posted signs at the "town" limits. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:57, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Djrun! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 874 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Cli-N-Tel - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Just tah Let U Know

Have you not seen the discussions at Wikiproject:National Basketball Association? User:LOL has changed the format to Template:Infobox NBA Player so it can now be used for both active and retired players much like the NFL players. As for the NBA Retired infobox, that is being phased out completly as we no longer need it. You dig? Beast from da East (talk) 06:26, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1992 Major League Baseball season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Texas Rangers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Need collaborators

I am in need of neutral collaboration on a major remake of the article Investigative Project on Terrorism, and was wondering if you had some extra time. I saw where you made a correction to the article regarding an irrelevant segment that needed to be removed. There is a great deal more that is wrong with the article, and I've been trying to get it corrected, but not without resistance. I started the following revision under the correct name - Investigative Project on Terrorism Foundation. The Foundation was formed in 2006, and is the only legally recognized non-profit organization with the name Investigative Project on Terrorism. The self-published website for IPT also published incorrect information about its organization's non-profit status. I included reliable sources proving the information is incorrect, but the only changes that were made allegedly violate WP:SYNTH among others. It has been an uphill battle to get anything done. Almost everything else that is included in the article is either incorrect, or misleading. Some of it belongs in the Steven Emerson article, and not in the IPT article. Would you be interested in helping to further correct and improve the article, provided it can be improved? The majority of cited sources are self-published, and there doesn't appear to be but a few 2nd sources, and they are not neutral. Thank you in advance....AtsmeConsult 03:02, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This seems to be another canvassing effort by Atsme, who has done so in the past. This very much to be a cloak and dagger like request since the location of the collaboration is behind the curtain of a user sandbox.Serialjoepsycho (talk) 05:33, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Djrun, please accept my apologies for subjecting you to the WP:HOUNDING activities by Serialjoepyscho. He does the same thing on the Talk page of the article which is why I stopped posting there. To date, he has managed to intimidate a number of good Wiki editors in his relentless pursuit to prevent further collaboration to correct all the violations at IPT. Quite frankly, his User name tells the story, and further explains why I have been unable to correct the rule violations. While he has performed little to no main article editing on Wikipedia, and spends 90% of his time hawking Talk pages, he has still managed to intimidate every potential collaborator from whom I've requested help. He games the system. If you will please continue to respond to me on my Talk page so I can delete his denigrating comments. AtsmeConsult 22:28, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes my name says alot. It says I was a fan of the late 1990's band Serial Joe. Beyond that it has no meaning. But what do we have here? We have Atsme trying to canvass you to change the IPT page. Her request is that you come and discuss the changes in a sandbox or on her page but not the actually IPT page. This is not the first canvassing effort by her. here, here, and here. But yes I do apologize. This is rather annoying. Another person getting drug into this drama all for the sake of tendentiousness. I'm just pointing this out. What's the need to discuss changes away from the page to be changed? There's a call for collaboration but a need to do so in a highly questionable manner. But I don't wish to clutter your page any further.Serialjoepsycho (talk) 00:45, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your merge request at Emerson

Did you request closing the Emerson merge per a WP:ANRFC request? For some reason, I thought you requested a deadline for discussion. I'm thinking whoever closed the discussion was going on a prior merge request, but that doesn't automatically close your request because the reviewer even stated there were issues that might have influenced the decision had they been presented.
