Early life

Srinidhi Ramesh Shetty was born on 21 October 1992[1] in a Tulu speaking Tuluva Bunt family.[2][3] Her father, Ramesh Shetty hails from the town of Mulki and her mother, Kushala is from Thalipady Guthu, in Kinnigoli.[4] She did her schooling in Sri Narayana Guru English Medium School, followed by a pre-university course at St. Aloysius Pre-University College. She received her degree in Electrical engineering at Jain University, Bengaluru and graduated with distinction.[5]

Pageantry

In 2012, she competed in the Clean & Clear Fresh Face contest, where she was among the top 5 finalists.[6] Later, she participated in Manappuram Miss South India in 2015 and won the titles of Miss Karnataka and Miss Beautiful Smile[7] and later participated in Manappuram Miss Queen where she was crowned as the 1st runner up.[8][9] While she was employed in Accenture, she worked with many designers as a model.[10]

In 2016, she participated in Miss Diva - 2016 contest, where she was selected as a finalist among thousands of aspirants. She went on to win the Miss Supranational India 2016 title at the pageant.[11][12] She also won 3 subtitles for her smile, body and her photogenic face. She went on to represent India at Miss Supranational 2016 pageant.[13] On 2 December 2016, she was crowned as Miss Supranational 2016 by her predecessor Stephania Stegman of Paraguay in Municipal Sports and Recreation Center, Krynica-Zdrój, Poland. She also won the title of Miss Supranational 'Asia and Oceania 2016' in the pageant.[14]

During her reign as Miss Supranational 2016, Srinidhi traveled to United Arab Emirates,[15] France,[16] Japan,[17] Singapore,[18] Thailand[19] and numerous trips around Poland and India.[20][21]

Career

After winning Miss Supranational, Srinidhi began to receive offers to act in films.[22] She was signed up in a Kannada movie named K.G.F., which is her acting debut.[23] The movie was directed by Prashanth Neel and is the most expensive film of Kannada cinema.[24]
