Round Omega is a misleading Unicode name of so-called Cyrillic letter Broad On (Ѻ, ѻ), a variant of regular Cyrillic letter "On" (О, о). Broad On is used in Church Slavonic as the 1st letter of word's root: in the initial position (ѻгнь, ѻтрокъ), after a prefix (праѻтецъ), in compound words (ѻбоюдуѻстрый), and in two geographical names (іѻрданъ—Jordan River, іѻппіа—city of Jaffa) and their derivatives, and as the numerical sign to represent number 70 (whereas Cyrillic Omega represents 800).
