Avneet Kaur (born 13 October 2001)[1] is an Indian actress,[2] dancer and model. She is known for portraying Charumati in Chandra Nandini[3] and Princess Yasmine in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga.[4]

Career

Avneet Kaur began her career with Zee TV's dance show Dance India Dance Li'l Masters.[5][6] She was eliminated before the semi-finals.[7] She then participated in Dance Ke Superstars, where she joined the team of "Dance Challengers".[8]

Kaur made her acting debut in 2012 with Life OK's Meri Maa[9] where she played Jhilmil.[8] Then, she was seen in SAB TV's Tedhe Hain Par Tere Mere Hain.[9] She then participated in Colors TV's celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,[9] where she was a contestant with Darsheel Safary and was eliminated in August.[6][10][11] She was the youngest contestant to appear on this show.[12]

Later, Kaur was featured in Life OK's Savitri, where she played Rajkumari Damyanti.[5] In August 2013, Kaur played Pakhi in Zee TV's Ek Mutthi Aasmaan.[13][14] She also appeared in ZeeQ's news bulletin titled The Weekly Rap.[7]

Kaur started her film career in 2014 with Pradeep Sarkar's Mardaani.[8]

In September 2014, she played Khushi in Sony Pal's Hamari Sister Didi.[15][16] In 2016, she starred in short film titled Dost - Safi Mother - Daughter released on YouTube under the banner of Jigsaw Pictures. In 2017, Kaur played Queen Charumati in Chandra Nandini. From 2018 to 2020, she played Princess Yasmine in SAB TV's Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga for 2 years and then left the show due to health issues.[17]

In 2022, Avneet Kaur will be making her Bollywood lead debut in Kangana Ranaut's Tiku Weds Sheru, opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.[18][19]

Personal life

Kaur was born to Sonia Nandra and Amandeep Nandra[20] on 13 October 2001[21] in Jalandhar, Punjab, India and later shifted to Mumbai.

Avneet Kaur began her career in 2010 at the age of 8.[22]

As of 2021, Kaur is pursuing a degree in commerce from a private college in Kandivali, Mumbai.[23]
