2027 (MMXXVII) will be a common year starting on Friday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2027th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 27th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 8th year of the 2020s decade.

January 1 – Assuming no further extensions to the term of copyrights become law in the interim, books, films, and other works published in 1931 will enter the public domain in the United States. Notable examples include Universal Pictures' iconic film adaptations of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Bram Stoker's Dracula.
February 6 – Annular solar eclipse.
June 1 – The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Changes Minimum Ages of Social Media Usage from Age 13 to Age 11, Per United States Supreme Court Request
August 2 – Total solar eclipse.
