== Band origin as Rodeo, California instead of "East Bay" == |

Quote from the 30th anniversary ''Dookie'' boxset: "Childhood friends Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt (née Pritchard) started what would become Green Day in 1987 in Rodeo, a small refinery town in Northern California's Contra Costa County." I think this quote could reasonably be used as evidence to list the band as being from the specific city of [[Rodeo, California]] instead of the vague "East Bay". |

Jason White, official member or just an extra studio guitarist for the Trilogy?
[edit]Apparently, this interview of Jason in a podcast highlights that according to Jason himself, he was never an 'official' member of Green Day, only that he joined in the studio to help with the guitar mixing. He refers to him being labeled a full-time member as a 'misconception.' Should this be represented in the article as such as well? AppalachianCentrist (talk) 21:05, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Since no response has been given in the five days since I posted this comment, I will conclude that the information should be represented per Wikipedia:Be bold. AppalachianCentrist (talk) 21:06, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
Proposal to split the songs from the Green Day navbox into a separate template
[edit]It has been proposed that {{Green Day}} be split into two navigational boxes by removing the songs from the existing one and creating Template:Green Day songs in the same vein as Template:Coldplay songs. A discussion is taking place on the talk page of the original template at Template talk:Green Day#Proposal to Move "Singles" and "Other Songs" to Separate Template. Note that the template was created in mainspace just prior to the proposal being made but was shortly thereafter sent to TfD as unused. I came across the TfD a few days ago and thought I'd try to further along the initial discussion on the template talk page to a possible wider audience of interested parties for a better chance of achieving consensus. - I suggest adding a link to the songs navbox in the Green Day navbox. Then get agreement here to remove or trim individual song links in the band navbox. -Fnlayson (talk) 23:43, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
Missing words
[edit]Hello there. “They were followed by Revolution Radio(2016), which became their third to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Father of All Motherfuckers (2020) and Saviors (2024).” is not a complete sentence. 142.169.16.244 (talk) 21:20, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
Main image
[edit]I think the main image should be changed to include the drummer, Tre Cool. Klutch2008 (talk) 16:49, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

In the intro sentence: "Aongside fellow California punk bands Bad Religion, the Offspring, Rancid, NOFX, Pennywise and Social Distortion, Green Day is credited with popularizing mainstream interest in punk rock in the U.S."
"The" in "The Offspring" should be capitalized. Bladerunner116 (talk) 08:33, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
