Indian 3 (also marketed as Indian 3: War Mode) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film directed by S. Shankar, who co-wrote the script with B. Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar. The film is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. It is the final instalment in the Indian trilogy and the direct sequel to Indian 2 (2024). The film stars Kamal Haasan in dual roles as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption, and Veerasekaran, a warrior during the British Raj era and Senapathy's father, leading an ensemble cast which includes Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, S. J. Suryah, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Brahmanandam, Samuthirakani and Nedumudi Venu.
Initially intended to be a single film, Indian 2 was later split into two films due to the final footage becoming over 6 hours long. Principal photography commenced in January 2019 and wrapped by mid-March 2024. It was shot sporadically in several legs over the next four years in Chennai, Rajahmundry, Bhopal, Gwalior, Tirupati, Chennai, and Vijayawada, Johannesburg and Taiwan. Over the course of filming, a suspension made by an accident that killed some crew members and delay by the COVID-19 pandemic were made. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by Ravi Varman and R. Rathnavelu,[b] editing by A. Sreekar Prasad, production design by T. Muthuraj and visual effects supervision by V. Srinivas Mohan.
Indian 3:War mode is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in January 2025.

Release
In May 2024, Haasan said they were aiming to release Indian 3 in January 2025.[23]
