Some ground rules before you leave a message

1. I am not an admin. I did not delete your page or article, nor did I block you. I may have, at the very most, suggested or urged deletion of pages or articles but I have no power or ability to do so on my own. I'm just an editor.
2. This also means, of course, I cannot undelete your page/article, nor unblock you. I can, however, offer you a cookie.
3. If you are here to make an argument dependent on arcane or convoluted interpretations of Wikipedia guidelines or rules, note that Wikipedia is not game of nomic nor a court of law. Adherence to common sense and rational argument trumps ruleslawyering, as far as I'm concerned. I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt, thankyouverymuch.
4. There is no Rule 4.
5. Don't post when drunk. Seriously. ;)
6. All communication sent via the "E-mail this user" link is private, although I've disabled the Emailuser link. You can, however, reach me here, which starts your e-mail client, which is convenient, and you can attach files too, and you don't need to log in to e-mail me! Reasonable requests for confidentiality will be honored, but the whole "e-mail is sacrosanct and private" argument I do not buy for one solitary second. Do not expect to use that argument as an all-purpose shield.
7. Do not assume I'm stupid, especially when arguing for something obviously untrue. I do not respond well to having my intelligence insulted.
8. All templated messages (the {{uw}} system) on this talk page will be promptly removed without being read because I am an established user. Please read WP:TEMPLAR.
9. Don't lie to me like I'm Montel Williams. Do I look like Montel Williams? Do I? NO? Then don't lie to me like I'm Montel Williams.
10. Especially bogus, hostile, and/or trolling remarks are subject to disemvoweling.
11. Please post at the bottom of the page and "sign" your posts using the squiggly things (~~~~).

I don't understand what you added on my talk. What is the mainspace? The whole of wikipedia? I just don't understand. If you mean I havn't edited any pages. It's because on my home computer Wiki doesn't work. I only get on Wikipedia at school. Therefore, I have no time to edit anything at school unless I want to fail. Further to the above

Hi BoL: I appreciate your effort to clue me in about 3O procedure ("If this is your first time doing a 3O, the case will be on the IRC channel (Link). If you wish, the mediation may commence on 03:00 (UTC). ")

Unfortunately, I am not able to understand this information because 1) I've never used IRC and don't know how to, and 2} I was under the impression (from very very limited experience) that 3O opinions were given through comments in the normal Wikipedia Talk pages.

3rd opinion is not supposed to be mediation. Its exactly what it sounds like, an extra outside opinion to try to bring in fresh views. There is no "case" and certainly no need for an IRC channel (even actual mediation can be done on talk pages). Mr.Z-man 02:19, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Wikia

I know, otherwise it wouldn't have any vandalism. Wikia accounts cannot be renamed because Wikia's different from Wikipedia, where it is global, so when you travel from one wiki to the other, you're still logged in to the same account, but luckily it's blocked, only on Wikia. If you wish, you should think about creating an account to prevent any impersonation, like append your username with a number or something, but that was to notify you. COI edits

You had previously reverted conflict of interest edits by (now indef-blocked) Thpcomm (talk · contribs). An acknowledged sockpuppet of that user, Crystal08 (talk · contribs), has appeared and reverted back to the conflict of interest version. Initially I had reverted those conflict of interest changes, but then self-reverted my edit because I wanted another editor to review it. Can you check this out? Well, I actually checked the talk page of Thpcomm (talk · contribs), and the administrator that reviewed the block allowed him/her to create another account without the promotional username, we'll let that one slide for now, but if he/she continues to step up, I will file that checkuser case. The best way for this user to get involved would be to suggest WP:RS/WP:V secondary sources to use on the article's talk page. FYI, the sock of Thpcomm (talk · contribs), Crystal08 (talk · contribs), has gone and posted a thread at WP:COIN - here. I still think it would be best for this individual with a financial conflict of interest in this article to post suggested WP:RS/WP:V secondary sources to the article's talk page, instead of editing the article directly. Springfield High School (Tennessee)

This is about your recent reversion of Springfield High School (Tennessee) to an earlier version by Ivyleaguetds. However, the version you reverted from was from the same author, and seemed to be a legitimate edit. There were a few empty categories, but I assume that the author was simply waiting and taking the page editing step-by-step, perhaps unaware of the 3-edit rule. So I'm reverting the artice back to the author's newest, which includes info about the school's organization and possible future info on other things. Rohan (talk) 04:25, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
