Story

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed tells the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice as he hunts down the remaining Jedi. Set in the dark times between Episode III and Episode IV, the story explores the aftermath of Order 66, which called for the immediate execution of all Jedi, as well as the rise of Darth Vader leading into the Original Trilogy.[7] According to Gameinformer's exclusive interview with the project lead, Darth Vader is training the apprentice with the ultimate intention of him and his apprentice overthrowing the emperor and ruling the galaxy, with Vader now as the master. This makes sense because he made the same offer to Padme in Revenge of the Sith, and to Luke in The Empire Strikes Back. In addition, the Star War Trilogy novelisation tells that Vader secretly wishes to overthrow the emperor, which holds with the common sith practice of the apprentice eventually killing and taking the master's place.

At Toy Fair 2007, Hasbro showed seven figures from their action figure line based on the game.[8] Lego has released a model of the main character's ship, the Rogue Shadow.[9] Sean Williams' novelization of The Force Unleashed will depict the "canon" course of events from the game.[10]
