Why do you keep reinserting the sentence "Randy is holding the zeppelin." in the plot summary of [[A Christmas Story]]? There is no other mention of the zeppelin in the article, so at that point the reader will have no idea what is being talked about - they'll reasonably ask "What zeppelin? Why do I care?" If you think it's so important to mention that Randy is holding the zeppelin, then shouldn't there be other text added too, to explain what zeppelin is being talked about and why it's important? Welcome to my talk page. Please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can...
Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello, Elbutler, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page List of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.
There is a page about the verifiability policy that explains the policy in greater detail, and another that offers tips on the proper ways of citing sources. If you are stuck and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Smallville
Your edits to the seventh season of Smallville keep getting reverted because everything on Wikipedia needs reliable sources to verify that the information is factual. There has been no reliable sources for those titles. Kryptonsite, IMDb, and TV.com are not reliable sources (no matter how accurate they are). BIGNOLE (Contact me) 20:09, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Jakers!.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jakers!.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Image tagging for Image:White Fang tin.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:White Fang tin.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

User:Simulation12's talk page
Elbutler, you should know that Simulation12 is allowed to remove your comments from his talk page (please see WP:TALK#User_talk_pages -- it's assumed that is a user deletes a comment or a warning, then that user has read it. In fact, if you keep putting your comments back there after he deletes them, you could end up being the one who is blocked for disruption, which would be a shame. Just a piece of advice... -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 03:52, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Image without license
Unspecified source/license for Image:Rick Riker.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Rick Riker.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (Talk • Contribs • Owner) 19:23, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Simulation12
I have banned Simulation12 from your talk page. If you actually don't mind her coming here, you can go to her talk page and specifically say she can come back, and I won't stand in the way. If she violates this, let an admin know, and a block will likely follow. --barneca (talk) 23:30, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Turbo Dogs
A tag has been placed on Turbo Dogs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. -- Mufka (u) (t)(c) (c)21:01, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
See, that's just sorta not the best way to go about things.
For future reference: If you are so concerned about the welfare of a page, you should probably start at WP:RFPP. There are many more eyes there. If it's ONE individual disrupting a page, you should report them to WP:AIV--again, many more eyes there, hence a much-greater likelihood of the problem getting solved immediately. Also, in general, when you want someone to do something, it's best to take a less-accusatory tone. Thank you. GJC 18:44, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Your RFA
Hi there. I suggest you withdraw your current RfA. Your chances of succeeding are virtually nil and it will be closed as WP:SNOW in a short while if you don't withdraw. We appreciate your offer to help, but your contributions are not enough to allow us to evaluate your skills and you seem to make many mistakes of new editors, which are nothing bad but those are things an admin should not do. I suggest you go through adoption first, learn about Wikipedia and then in a few months, you can try and apply for admin coaching before re-trying RfA. Please don't be disappointed by the oppose-!votes that will surely pile up, it is nothing personal. Regards SoWhy 19:22, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
- As you have edited after I posted this message to you, I gather you read it. I decided to close the RfA as WP:NOTNOW to avoid further pile-on by oppose !voters. Please read my message above and WP:NOTNOW and please do not take this personally. I am happy to assist you if you have any further questions. Regards SoWhy 21:14, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Your message on my talkpage...
I have left a very-definite warning on the IP's talkpage, and I will be requesting a checkuser to confirm your suspicions. However, I also have concerns about your editing.
- You really, REALLY need to re-evaluate your way of communicating. Sentences such as "And since Barnecea is on wikibreak, it's up to you to deal with her" are not only rude, but factually inaccurate. There are hundreds of other WP administrators, and any one of them can "deal with" problem users. I have no obligation to jump when you tell me to. This is the second post of yours where you've come at me with a demanding/confrontational attitude. I told you then that it was not appreciated; since that was obviously not clear enough, I will have to be more blunt: Don't tell me how to do my job. You can report people to me all you want, but do not tell me what I "HAVE" to do.
- As I said, I'll be investigating your suspicions. I'm reasonably sure you're right; that still doesn't excuse the way you made your request. However, I do appreciate the effort you're making to deal with our little friend, and that you're keeping your cool reasonably well. (I do want to caution you, though, that if she adds back those Canadian airdates any time today, you'd best leave it to someone else to revert them--if YOU revert them, you'll break 3RR and then she could report you--and she'd be in the right, technically. So--be careful. I can understand you wanting to fix them, but don't go getting yourself blocked for it. (If she does it again, go here WP:AN/I and start a section about the problem. Rather than getting yourself in trouble, let an admin deal with it--I probably won't be online too much today.)
- In short: hang in there, don't make demands, and don't let her bait you into a 3RR violation, and everything will be fine. GJC 19:50, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's cool. Vandals piss me off too--there's this one guy on Caillou who was being a total jerk about describing a character as a "buffoon" vs. saying he was "silly"--finally I just gave up, not because he was right, but because it wasn't worth my while to deal with someone so obnoxious and conceited. Well, that was a few months ago, and since then, someone changed his edit and I didn't even notice it--so the other day, an edit summary comes up about "Restoring hard-fought, but ultimately correct description". I was like, screw you, dude!!! I wouldn't even have NOTICED the change without that edit summary. Now I just wanna change it back, just because this guy was just a jerk--but of course, I have to be all proper and admin-ish.
- As for the RfA, don't even fret about that--my RfA just BARELY passed, and I've been here for 2 years, nearly--RfA is widely considered to be about as pleasant as having all your teeth pulled with no novocaine. If you had waited til practically forever and then tried, you STILL would have got a ton of bull on your RfA--because RfA is basically a FACTORY for bull. I had one person oppose because they didn't like my blog, and someone else opposing because I had "a contrived persona". I mean, WTF??? And mine was a fairly EASY RfA---you want to see some bad ones, look up the RfAs for Dihydrogen Monoxide, or Milk's Favorite Cookie, or Malleus Fatuorum, or...Those are some REALLY wicked RfA's. So--believe me, you're in good company. Doesn't make it any easier, of course, but still. :) Hang in there... GJC 21:49, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Friendly note regarding talk page messages
Hello. As a recent editor to User talk:Simulation12, I wanted to leave a friendly reminder that as per WP:USER, editors may remove messages at will from their own talk pages. While we may prefer that comments be archived instead, policy does not prohibit users -including anonymous editors- from deleting messages from their own talk pages. The only kinds of talk page messages that cannot be removed (as per WP:BLANKING) are declined unblock requests (but only while blocks are still in effect), confirmed sockpuppet notices, or IP header templates (for unregistered editors). These exceptions only exist in order to keep a user from potentially gaming the system. Thanks, Kralizec! (talk) 02:42, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Color font
I've dropped the bit you'll need at the top of your talk page. The first color "DodgerBlue" is the one that affects your whole page. You can change that to whatever you like..you might try experimenting from these Web colors. Have fun!

- The "sup" tags on User Mufka's signature is malformed as it spans the dual brackets and breaking the font..the closing should be inside the wikilink brackets in the signature. You can see where the grey begins within the signature.

Sim12/Marcellus
I saw your note to me and the one on AN/I--sorry about that, I was asleep all day. (MAN, do I love vacation!!!) I looked at the contribs, and...it COULD be our little buddy, but it doesn't really scream "Riley" to me. The "Martha Speaks" edits are suspicious, of course, but nothing else seems to overlap much. I definitely won't discount the possibility, though, and I'll keep an eye on it too. Thanks for letting me know, though!GJC 23:48, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for File:RitaRocksPic.JPG
Thanks for uploading File:RitaRocksPic.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:13, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Just a comment
re: your edit to the talk page of "Jakers!"--No matter how badly formatted, legitimate talk-page edits should stay. Orphaned non-free media (File:Balto Source banner.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Balto Source banner.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:19, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Salty the Seal
I have nominated Salty the Seal, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Salty the Seal. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Your hard work is about to be deleted from Wikipedia
The article you created, Salty the Seal is about to be deleted from Wikipedia.
There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:
The faster your respond, the better chance the article you created can be saved. This is because deletion debates only stay open for a few days, and the first comments are usually the most important.
There are several tools and other editors who can help you keep the page from being deleted forever:
- You can list the page up for deletion on Article Rescue Squadron. If you need help listing your page, add a comment on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
- You can request a mentor to help explain to you all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted, here: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond on the deletion page.
- When try to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you.
Here is a list of your own acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.
Acronyms in deletion debates are sometimes incorrectly used, or ignore rules or exceptions.
If your page is deleted, you still have many options available. travb (talk) 02:26, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't think it is going to be deleted, but you do need to chime in, as I could be VERY wrong. :)sinneed (talk) 17:53, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to FARMkids. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:14, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- I wanted to add as a personal note in addition to the "form letter" that while it may be hard to come up with descriptions about certain things in our words, we have to, unless we can positively verify that the source is released under public domain or a license compatible with GFDL. I have removed the summary from this article. If you choose to add a new one, unless compatible license can be verified, please be sure that you have written it completely from scratch. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:16, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
This is the only warning you will receive about this matter. You are not an administrator. Please do not threaten to block other users or protect pages as you did at Talk:Mississippi. Instead, if you have issues with other users, report them at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents or Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Good day. - ✰ALLST☆R✰ echo 20:17, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Erma, I'll comment here, rather than at ANI, because I'm not trying to make you look bad or anything, and this is less public. I agree with Allstarecho here. Your wading in to the discussion at Talk:Mississippi with all guns blazing made a bad situation much worse. And your post at ANI demonstrates that you didn't quite understand what was going on. I feel compelled to comment because you did something similar on my talk page a couple of days ago, and I specifically cautioned you against it. This is not a chatroom, or a MMORPG; you don't gain points by getting your "enemies" blocked. Please dial it back several notches, respond to arguements you disagree with calmly (more calmly than your opponent is always a good idea), stop threatening blocks until you're more familiar with how this place works, and in general please stop looking for fights everywhere. --barneca (talk) 13:57, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Hello
Since you didn't provide an edit summary, I'm not sure why you reverted the changes 209.247.22.166 made to Marley & Me. He removed plot details that needn't be revealed and fixed some of the formats so they follow film project guidelines. For some reason, this article has been subjected to an incredible amount of vandalism. As it stands per my last edit, it follows style and content guidelines. Thank you, and Happy New Year! Zeppelin?
Why do you keep reinserting the sentence "Randy is holding the zeppelin." in the plot summary of A Christmas Story? There is no other mention of the zeppelin in the article, so at that point the reader will have no idea what is being talked about - they'll reasonably ask "What zeppelin? Why do I care?" If you think it's so important to mention that Randy is holding the zeppelin, then shouldn't there be other text added too, to explain what zeppelin is being talked about and why it's important? 216.75.188.196 (talk) 21:11, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
