:These certainly are "selected users"; as selected by you - in this case based on a criteria, according to you, of them having worked on the article before although I notice that many of those editors have not made a single edit to any of the articles you referred to. I saw it fit to inform participants in the AfD discussion with a neutral note (as is done when AfDs are added to deletion lists). I did not make a note on "you" nor make any comments on why you may have done so but simply left a note for the closing admin to take into account when closing the AfD. → AA (talk) — 23:15, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of :Itex
A tag has been placed on :Itex, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

<center>spam</center>

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add <code>hangon</code> on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.<!-- Template:Nn-warn-reason --> 86.29.243.103 (talk) 14:24, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to AA's Talk Page

DYK

Updated DYK query On 26 September, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Alpin (supplement), which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

--Carabinieri 13:49, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi could you expand Prothom Alo thanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 15:39, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll see what I can do. → AA (talk) — 15:43, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ok boss! I'll add a picture tomorrow. Was thinking about expanding Prothom Alo for a while. Glad that you want to help as well. Tell me what to do. Regards --Tarif from Bangladesh 18:22, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi AA, I created Category:Bangladesh articles with Images to review the completeness of image tagging for Bangladesh related topics. Now the review is complete and the category is probably not needed anymore. Could you please delete the page? Arman (Talk) 02:34, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Arman, procedure says we have to wait for 4 days for a category to remain empty before deleting it via CSD. I'll remove it at the end of this week (but give me a nudge if I forget). → AA (talk) — 14:20, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Category removed. → AA (talk) — 11:21, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Siloti Nagri

I added a Siloti Nagri picture "Siloti.png" to the article Sylheti Nagari. If you see any mistake, please let me know, and I will fix it.--Usingha (talk) 03:34, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keep up the good work

The Islamic Barnstar
I just wanted to appreciate the wonderful work you are doing on Islam related articles. Although I have not contributed in that area much, I do have a lot of interest in that area and am a big supporter of your work there. Arman (Talk) 09:51, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A proposal

I have a proposal at Wikipedia:WikiProject Bangladesh/Outreach. Please take a look and share your view. Arman (Talk) 01:56, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request

I am sure you remember the geography stub instruction template built into Template:WP Bangladesh. A things stand it looks a bit oversized. Can you reduce the size (yes, quite a bit if possible)? There's a standardizing proposal lying at the Geography Workgroup, which may be helpful in developing the template as well. Aditya(talkcontribs) 14:36, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also whenever I open the Talk:Bangladesh page for checking I find this Talk:Bangladesh/Comments redlink on top of the list of pages transcluded onto the current version of the page. What is it? Can it be removed? Aditya(talkcontribs) 16:59, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Time to relock "al-Insan al-Kamil"?

Hi there,

How do you lock an article?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Ins%C4%81n_al-K%C4%81mil

Elias insists on adding a link to Robert Spencer's blog that only tangentially critiques the term. The blog is really a rebuttal by Spencer to criticism made of him, and is not a primary source on this topic. Elias insists that the blog is "interesting debate" although Spencer only critiques the comments out of context. See the talk section and history for more details.

Constructive vs. Nonconstructive efforts

Salam Alaykum

I've recently found this and it really irritated me. I don't intend to waste my time by protesting against the decision, but I think this is not constructive trend for several reasons. First, we lost one of our active friends[1] who made not only had a lot of articles but also a task force for Hadith as well as some other task forces. Second, we lost many articles easily and now we should make them again due to the fact that most of them are important issues. Finally, all of the discussions[2] didn't lead to any guideline for hadith articles and now we should start from the beginning Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Islam#Hadith of warning.--Seyyed(t-c) 16:00, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello... here's a peer review

I have taken Sitakunda Upazila to Wikipedia:Peer review/Sitakunda Upazila/archive1, and so far recieved no comments, almost. Please, take a look, and be ruthless if you want. I have high hopes for the article. Aditya(talkcontribs) 19:47, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Happy New Year! Though we wish every year as "Happy" but at the end we usually find lots of pains and sorrows. Hope, this year will bring something different in your life. Standing on pains and sorrows, we still HOPE for the best, thus we are human being.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Let's Collaborate on Sunderbans and Cox's Bazar

Hello! Please note Sunderbans and Cox's Bazar have been selected as the current WikiProject Bangladesh collaboration topics. As you may be aware that these two are currently candidates for natural wonders of the world, it is extremely important to ensure that the Wikipedia articles on these topics make a clear and complete reflection of these topics. Any contribution that you can make to these topics is very welcome. Arman (Talk) 03:35, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Competition

Dear AA, we are now all set to move to the next phase of the competition that we discussed earlier on WikiProject Bangladesh Outreach page. For this purpose, I have started the Deshipidian 2008 page and have also drafted an email for mass circulation to promote the competition. If you are back from your break, please review the page and the draft email and let me know if you have any comments. I'm proposing that we circulate the email widely starting February 1, 2008. In addition, if BDOSN can help promote this competition through some newspaper coverage that would be fantastic. Yours truly Arman (Talk) 09:28, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for dropping in. I've been missing you very much. Come back when you can (I know real life matters). And, oh, when you visit Dhaka, may be we can catch up (I had only one chat with Ragib, and that too over phone). Keep rocking. Cheers. Aditya(talkcontribs) 20:13, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Biman Bangladeshi Airlines

Hi, you removed the hijacking details saying it was flight GMG042. The source says BG042, although it has been changed from a hijack to an inflight disturbance. What is your source for GMG042? Who are they? If it wasn't Biman, should the info be added to whichever airline it was? Mjroots (talk) 15:21, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya, the press have had a field day with this newstory and goes to show that some of them can't be trusted to do any research. The airline involved is GMG Airlines a private Bangladeshi airline (unlike state-owned Biman). Here are a few links to the actual story in the Bangladeshi papers: [3], [4], [5]
The entry could be added to GMG's article.
Hope that clarifies it. → AA (talk) — 10:21, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tibbit

Hello! :) In November 2007, Tibbit was nominated for deletion. At the time, there was no suitable page for this article to be redirected to, so based on the consensus, you deleted the article. I have created a new page, List of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition monsters, which would be a proper destination to merge and/or redirect the article to. I'm wondering if it's possible to restore the original article, and turn it into a redirect, thus preserving the edit history? Thanks!  :) BOZ (talk) 00:30, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion review for Tibbit

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Tibbit. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. BOZ (talk) 14:24, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Block evasion

Hey dude, salam alaykum. Long time no talk. I'll cut to the chase. Remember that guy Klaksonn who was blocked last August after giving you the run around on the Fatima article and making a lot of foul mouthed personal attacks on others? I'm pretty sure he's back. It is currently being discussed on the sockpuppet noticeboard here. I'd be interested in seeing what you have to say about it. MezzoMezzo (talk) 06:16, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wa-alaikumus salam, yeah - been a bit busy with real world stuff lately so haven't been able to do much here. I've made a comment on the SSP page and looked long and hard to find the articles with anonymous edits by him, but can't remember which ones they were. I remember trying to track his socks and did come across his use of IPs in both Lebanon and US and came to the conclusion he was based in Lebanon but used proxies in US but since he got block pretty quickly abandoned that line of investigation. Irrespective of whether it's him or not, just try and stay clear of getting involved in an edit war and engage in discussions and make use of a sandbox to progress the articles in dispute. Good luck. → AA (talk) — 13:41, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Compact navigation script

Hi AA. I came across your script today after being forced to get rid of SixTabs due to its inability to work with Lightmouse's date script. I was wondering if it would be possible to add an extra pull-down field to the discussion tab, where you could pick "new section" instead of "edit lead", which isn't really necessary on talk pages unless you're playing with Wikiproject templates. If this isn't something you want to do to the main script, perhaps an optional line could be written or something? Regards, Matthewedwards (talk contribs  email) 19:50, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. I have added it as another item on the menu. Cheers. → AA (talk) — 20:16, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Biman Bangladesh Airlines

Hi AA, first of all congratulations to you. I'm also very inactive these days at the Wikipedia. But I'll keep an eye on the article. Eid mobarak. Regards --Tarif from Bangladesh (talk) 06:18, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AA, it was by pure chance that I checked out the main page of Wikipedia today and noticed BBA was the featured article. I remember working on this last year as a member of the League of Copy Editors (the league no longer exists, unfortunately). I'm delighted to see your work -- which I had the honor of participating in during the earliest stage -- has resulted in a featured article. Good job! --Preston McConkie (talkcontribs) 02:06, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for your message and also your extremely valuable work during the FAC stage - without which, the article could not have got to the main page today. I have been inactive on WP lately due to other committments and was pleasantly surprised to see it was going to be featured so made a mad dash to bring it up-to-date a bit. Thanks again. → AA (talk) — 23:58, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I nominated the article British Bangladeshi some time ago as a Good Article, and would you be able to please review the page to see whether it falls into the criteria, or Review the page. Thank you. Mohsin (talk) 12:54, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Currently the article has been made to a GA now, I have worked very hard on the article, so it would be great if you could give a helping hand and probably make it into a FA, seeing that you do reside in the UK. Alright, thanks! Tangomaan (talk) 13:48, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well done to all who have worked on the article. Unfortunately, I cannot spare as much time to WP due to other commitments but I will take a look at the article and assist if possible. Regards. → AA (talk) — 00:01, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes now everyone knows about this article, especially in the gang section fighting over the top gang :) It is probably suitable if we get rid of the list of gangs I suppose to reduce it. Mohsin (talk) 12:39, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 • Assalamu Alaykum, bala ni. On the article I have tried to summarise some parts of the sections of the article, and by transferring it to the other related article I have created. I was wondering whether you could view the article and see if it does need further work, because I have been looking to submit it now as a FA article. Please provide any suggestions or give a helping hand. Thanks a lot! Mohsin (talk) 16:22, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
