Actually, someone's just deleted it, so you can't see the Discussion page any more! Argh! Either way, it's certainly more notable than 80% of the other content management systems that DO have an entry on Wikipedia. --Spxdcz (talk) 14:49, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

This page was deleted via PROD and I unfortunately did not see the notice within 7 days.

As the original author, I attempted to write this article from a neutral POV, following several examples of other pages in Wikipedia. It is intended to be a separate article from 'Climate Ethics'. Please restore the article or advise on how it can be improved. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JLeland123 (talkcontribs)

Done. As a contested PROD, the article is automatically restored on request. I will notify Sgroupace (talk · contribs), who PRODded it, in case he wishes to nominate it under the Articles for deletion process; you may like to discuss it with him. JohnCD (talk)

Cowboy Logistics

People have asked me to explain the term and the origins of it so many times that I actually took the time to provide a wiki entry to it. This is a genuine question that I answer often and have answered often for the LAST 10 YEARS. I figure the purpose of a wiki is so that I don't have to continue to answer the same question, and provide a location in which someone can search for the answer online. The phrase is so popular that is has been put into national advertisement for a gun company. http://olegvolk.net/gallery/d/34387-2/ammo_belt_7430.jpg. Please undelete the article so that I do not have to constantly answer the question as to the origin of the phrase. -Twoblink (talk) 09:37, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the purpose of this wiki is to be an encyclopedia, and part of the rules of this encyclopedia is that topics need to show notability. If you'd like, we can move a copy to User:Twoblink/Cowboy Logistics, and you can add sources that show notability (being used in an advertisement isn't going to be enough).--Fabrictramp | talk to me 01:24, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This relates to the article on the Danish site. The article listed an extensive list of this author's books. The page linked so several other articles on Wiki relating to the autor. It is believed that the original article was too advertising -Kimgarsdal (talk) 20:22, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

croposition

This topic has far reaching interest in the field of digital photography. Just because you can find no reference for it elsewhere on the web does not warrant its deletion from Wiki. Here's a link to Digital-Photography-School.com, and how it is used throughout that site, in 22 articles.[1] -71.214.172.80 (talk) 18:08, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. The rationale for the deletion was "no reliable sources demonstrating that anyone outside of a single forum contributor uses this neologism; no verifiability", so improving on this point might help avoid deletion in the future.  Not done - the articles only content was "According to a hypothesis of Laszlo Garai a paradoxical need for a needfree activity. The structure of the hypothesized need corresponds to that of a specifically human basic activity defined along both technical and social criteria.". Feel free to recreate the page, but be sure to make sure there is enough content to better identify the article's subject. Cheers, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 16:10, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Henrik_Flyman

This is an artist, composer, producer and multi instrumentalist that has been active since 1992 with about 10 album releases and tours around the world. He is frequently featured in media (radio, magazines, ezines and occasional TV). The page has been around for a long time (and I have been helping with info) but it was deleted by Jclemens because he meant it didn't add anything that other band pages didn't already mention. I wrote him and told him that it at least (as far as I could remember) told about one album guest appearance that no other page mentioned + that it was an important page to link several bands and albums together through Henrik Flyman's name. It is normal for official people to have a Wiki page in their own name (people search for such pages - and that's where new info can be added). He ignored me for 4 days, then refused to undelete it and told the reason to be that I didn't ask him nicely enough (which I did, since I'm not a rude person). I don't want to waste more time begging him to keep valuable information on Wikipedia. This is a page that I know has been used frequently by media and others, so therefore I will ask (someone else) kindly again for undeletion. If the page isn't good enough (which I can't understand) than I suggest that you improve it rather than deleting it. That's what makes Wikipedia great. Isn't it :) -Metallica1980 (talk) 05:14, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The reasons for this deletion are just lies, and it seems the deleter has a political beef with some articles this author has written (he says the first op-ed is just "a letter to the editor"). This article has been up over 7 years. The subject is a journalist who has been published in all the newspapers listed, some quoted below, has questioned dozens of famous people, and has +100,000 hits on Google. This article should be restored and locked against deletion.

", and fixing these issues may prevent deletion in the future. Cheers, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 16:05, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Right, but the "issues" are obviously untrue, if you look at the links. Not only is he not a conspiracy theorist (not a speck of evidence for that), this writer argues against them, but that's a potent and sleazy slander. This was done by Jclemens, who brags of deleting 14,000 articles, and is obviously out of control.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.252.25.175 (talkcontribs)

Windrush School

Wikipedia has deleted the article on Windrush School (in El Cerrito, CA) twice for "blatant copyright infringement." I assume your administrators think it is a copyright infringement because the text comes from the Windrush School Web site. However, I (the Communication Coordinator at Windrush School) wrote the Web site text so consequently Windrush owns the text. I assume that Wikipedia would agree that is Windrush owns the text it can use it for whatever use it would like, including a wiki. As a Windrush employee who wrote the Web site text I am requesting the wiki for Windrush School be restored. If you have questions about this you can contact me at sworthington@windrush.org. Thanks, Samantha Worthington, Windrush School -63.200.158.9 (talk) 19:26, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - unfortunately, even as the writer of the text, Wikipedia still must treat this as copyright infringement. 2. Lloyd Bryan Adams is one of the founders of the cable network Extreme Sports Channel

3. Stating that the receiving of a Telly Award [4] is insignificant is laughable...

4. The weak delete comment stating that a producer is more business than creative... is not a very informed statement, george lucas is a producer... is he not creatively involved in the process??There are many roles that said producer can take, in the very wiki article referring to producer Film producer it clearly states, " A film producer or movie producer is someone who creates the scenes and conditions for making movies. The producer initiates, co-ordinates, supervises and controls matters such as fund-raising, hiring key personnel and arranging for distributors. The producer is involved throughout all phases of the film-making process from development to completion of a project."

I cannot find a reason in the deletion log. It was proposed in the deletion discussion that the site was not notable. However, during the discussion more information was added showing coverage by Kim Komando, coast to coast radio DJ with an entry on Wikipedia, by Lifehacker, that has an entry on Wikipedia, and also by a review in a newspaper's online content. So if it has coverage by 2 entities that are notable enough to be in Wikipedia that would indicate that this site is notable. Therefore I ask you to consider this new information and undelete the article. -Raduser101 (talk) 15:44, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Victoria Pynchon, Charis Michelsen, Jeffrey Steinberger

The Victoria Pynchon article has been on Wikipedia for a year and a half. The administrator, Brandon, removed it on Feb 5, and then within minutes removed two other articles I had athored. The reason he gave for the deletion of all three articles was: G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion. The first article was literally about two hours old and was about a lawyer, Jeffrey Steinberger. Brandon deleted it while I was, literally, in the process of adding to it and sourcing it. After he deleted it, I read his reason, along with a three-year-old notation that indicated a page about Jeffrey Steinberger had been deleted in 2007. I was unaware that there was a previous article about this person, otherwise I would have contacted the original administrator who deleted that article (who wasn't Brandon) to inform the administrator that I was writing an article. Brandon replied to my appeal with a broken Craigs List link and the comment "Paid edit?" I responded (it's on both my talk page and Brandon's talk page) that I am an individual and I do not take pay for editing nor have I ever been offered to be paid for editing Wikipedia content. Brandon in one fell swoop, within minutes of deleting the Jeffrey Steinberger article, then deleted the Victoria Pynchon article. Then, within a minute or two, he deleted the Charis Michelsen article. I would like to rewrite these three articles in neutral language and reference all statements with reliable sources. I've already, in a Word document, completely rewritten the Victoria Pynchon article with NPOV and have nearly completed the Charis Michelsen article doing the same thing, and I can do the same thing with the Jeffrey Steinberger article. Brandon has not responded nor discussed with me anything I have written to him since his two-word "Paid editing?" reply. Thank you very much for your time and for you consideration to undelete. -AuthorAuthor (talk) 12:00, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

4Digital Media

We have been trying to create a simple page for 4Digital Media and it gets deleted repeatedly. We have the proper version of it ready to go live and we request that the page is re-activated, please. Many thanks! -Ariaspr (talk) 12:13, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: the ready to go version has zero reliable sources (wikipedia links are not even allowed as references). Materialscientist (talk) 12:26, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Further comment: this is not a request for undeletion but for unprotection - page has been salted after repeated re-creation, and there is no indication that the company is notable per WP:CORP. More advice on user's talk page. JohnCD (talk) 12:31, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Amaxus

Apparently the article was deleted because it wasn't 'notable'. The product is mentioned on numerous respected third-party websites, is used by international clients (including Eidos, Ironman, BBC), has been nominated for awards, and has more coverage than other Content Management Systems that DO have a listing on Wikipedia. The previous article was live on Wikipedia for months, without alteration, before deletion. The product has been in existence for almost 10 years. -Spxdcz (talk) 14:03, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, see the Discussion page for Amaxus for further notable third-party websites mentioning the product.--Spxdcz (talk) 14:09, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, someone's just deleted it, so you can't see the Discussion page any more! Argh! Either way, it's certainly more notable than 80% of the other content management systems that DO have an entry on Wikipedia. --Spxdcz (talk) 14:49, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
