Kourtney Mary Kardashian (born April 18, 1979) is American Armenian celebutante, socialite, model, businesswoman, and television personality. She is best known for her appearances on the reality shows Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.
Early life
Kourtney Kardashian was born in Los Angeles and is the oldest child of attorney Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner (née Houghton) and is the sister of Kim, Khloé,and Rob Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. She is of Armenian (father) and Dutch-Scottish American (mother) descent.[1] Robert Kardashian, best known for being O. J. Simpson’s lawyer during his murder trial, died on September 31, 2003.[2] Her mother divorced Robert Kardashian in 1989 and married former Olympian Bruce Jenner in 1991.[3]
Kardashian attended the Roman Catholic all-girls school Marymount High School. Following graduation, she left California to move to Dallas where she attended Southern Methodist University for two years. She then moved to Tucson, Arizona and attended the University of Arizona, graduating with a degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Spanish. Her classmates included Nicole Richie and Luke Walton.[4]
Kourtney has four younger sisters, (from oldest to youngest) Kim, Khloé, Kendall Jenner (half-sister), and Kylie Jenner (half-sister). She has one brother, Rob Kardashian. Kourtney also has three stepbrothers, (from oldest to youngest) Burt Jenner, Brandon Jenner and Brody Jenner. She also has one stepsister, Casey Jenner.
Personal life
Kourtney and her mother opened up children's clothing boutiques in both the Los Angeles area (818) and New York City, called "Smooch", which carries the brand "Crib Rock Couture". As seen on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney co-owns and operates D-A-S-H, a clothing boutique in Los Angeles and Miami (opened early 2009), with sisters Kim and Khloé.[4] She and Khloé starred in their own reality show, Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami which highlighted their single lives in a new city and their opening of D-A-S-H in Miami.
Kourtney also starred in reality show, "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive" (2005) to earn money for charity.
Kourtney has a son, Mason Dash Disick, born December 14, 2009 who weighed in at 7lbs 6oz.[5] with her current boyfriend Scott Disick.
It was rumored in various magazines that Scott Disick was cheating on Kourtney, but Disick shot down the rumors in an interview when Giuliana Rancic interviewed him and Kris Kardashian-Jenner on E! news. The interview (which aired on February 19th, 2010) showing Disick (jokingly) saying, "sometimes my eyes wander to Kris [Jenner], but that's ok,'cause it's family."
