Brett Salisbury as I just found out from administrator StephenBuxton. Mr. Buxton told me to contact this page with rationale that Mr. Salisbury is a notable person.
1. I wrote an article under the name Brett J. Salisbury which was deleted for copyright infringement which I had no idea would be a probelm as I took parts of an article that are now on Mr. Salisbury's website www.TransformDiet.com I apologize for doing this.
2. My cousin is Doug Musgrave, I had the prividlege of seeing Mr. Salisbury play against the USC trojans at autzen stadium as a college quarterback in 1991. I met him and since then forgot about him.
3. It was not until a few months ago when I was handed the book The Transform Diet by Brett Salisbury that my wife and I were given that I realized it was the same Brett Salisbury. I was happy and felt I should read it. To my great surprise the book has changed my wife and and I and are life.
4. We are dieting and eating correctly and doing just what the ex male model and quarterback now certified sports nutritionist have told us.
5. I also found out that Mr. Salisbury's book is ranked 6th currently right now on the top 10 books of 2010.

http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&source=hp&q=brett%20salisbury&aql=&oq=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wn

6. This in and of itself is that he is not only an author but is ranked 6th in sales on his book. I find this as notworthy as it gets, as StephenBuxton found what I seemed to be on the same page. There were problems with brett salisbury as I read before that were borderline if Salisbury was notable. One being that he did not have a book out. Now things have changed. He is notable throughout the world as an author. I'm pushing for this because he did change our lives, he was the starting quarterback in the pac 10 at the university of Oregon as so many other college quarterbacks are mentioned on wikipedia. If you look at the Brett J. Salisbury article look how many articles and sources this gentleman has. He needs to be listed on the list of notable people. I ask this humbly and hope you give him his right to be on this site. Please see below the original article re written by a wikipeida administrator to make it neutral. I find him now with the book and being on the top 10 completely noteworthy.
Thank you

In fact this was re-written in a neutral way I found out from an administrator as you will see and here is the wikipedia piece.
Brett Jon Salisbury is a Nutritionist (born October 11, 1968 in Dayton, Ohio) and author of the Transform diet [1]

After spending his freshman year at Brigham Young University, his sophomore year at a junior college and his junior year at the University of Oregon, Salisbury starred during his senior season at Division II Wayne State College, where he became the only D-II player in college football history to receive a vote for the Heisman Trophy.,[2]

Salisbury played pro-football in the EFAF European League, and was the star quarterback, playing three seasons with the Helsinki Giants from 1994-1996 in Helsinki, Finland. He was one of the highest paid players to ever play in the EFAF European League. He is a former top male model in Scandinavia and Milan Italy.

Brett is the brother of former ESPN NFL analyst, actor and former USC and NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury.

Early life
Brett grew up in Escondido, California, located in San Diego County, where he attended Orange Glen High School.

He was the star pitcher and shortstop on the 1981 Escondido National Little League team that finished 5th in the world in Williamsport, PA. He batted over .600. He was chosen on the 1980s all-decade world little league team.

Brett was a Street & Smith High School All-American Defensive back after his junior year and was heavily recruited as a DB by many Division I colleges.

Salisbury was an Adidas All-American High School Quarterback, considered a pro prospect in baseball as a shortstop and played on the varsity basketball team as a sophomore in high school.

College career
Salisbury signed his letter of intent to Brigham Young University as an All-American high school quarterback. In his freshman year at BYU he played against the United States Air Force Academy J.V team, and threw for 508 yds and 5 TD in the game.

Forced to leave Brigham Young, he set numerous records the next year at the Junior college level in 1990, at Palomar College in San Marcos, California, and was the most highly recruited and decorated Quarterback in the nation, as well as being chosen California's Player-of-the-Year and the national passing champion.

He later transferred before ending his career at Wayne State College in Nebraska, where he finished 3rd in the Harlon Hill Trophy, Division II's version of the Heisman Trophy, and again became a unanimous All-American selection, breaking many school records, as well as being chosen Nebraska's Offensive Player-of-the-Year.

Following the 93 campaign, Salisbury received a Heisman Trophy vote from previous Heisman winner Gino Torretta, an honor no other division II player has ever received.

Salisbury's astonishing passer rating of 166.3 at Wayne State College is the second highest in division II in 1993.

The Wildcats had a high-powered offense, ranking first in NCAA Division II in total offense (581.5 yards per game), second in passing offense (379.9 ypg) and scoring offense (44.8 ppg).

Professional career
After the 1995 season he left for Milan, Italy to pursue a modeling career. It was there, while working for the exclusive Model Plan agency, he played a military officer, with a prominent speaking role in the CD ROM movie, The Blackfire.

With over 500 print and runway jobs under his belt, he was given the Elite title, Male Super Model in 2002 by model-max.com senior editor Jed Medina.

On December 4th, 2007, Salisbury was voted the 72nd greatest high school football player ever in San Diego's north county. [3]

Brett is a C.S.N. Author of the Transform diet, Transforming the world, one body at a time, and starting with you.

Awesome (window manager)

This is a notable window manager, and a novel implementation of tiling window manager concept. Please let users familiar with window manager area judge if a subject is notable in this area. If everyone starts deleting things he got no idea about, you've suddenly lose significant portion of usfulness. -203.143.159.19 (talk) 05:37, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Note: the article was deleted as a result of this AfD discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Awesome (window manager). Jayjg(talk) 06:22, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That means that if you want it back you will have to take it to WP:Deletion review; but note that Deletion review is not intended for continuing the same discussion, but for arguing that the closing administrator did not close the debate correctly according to the arguments presented. JohnCD (talk) 11:36, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What if there's new evidence? Specifically there's an article published in German "LinuxUser" magazine that may be a reliable source and was not mentioned in previous discussions. Is that enough to revive the article? If so, should I post a request to WP:Deletion review or somewhere else?
-- MagV (talk) 22:41, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The first step would be to approach Jayjg (talk · contribs), the admin who closed the deletion discussion, and see whether he thinks your new source is good enough to restore the article and let you add it. If you cannot agree with him, WP:DRV would be the next port of call. JohnCD (talk) 21:15, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. By his suggestion I opened a deletion review [1]. MagV (talk) 19:08, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Laura Carlsen - Unjustified Deletion

Unjustified Deletion -201.137.105.51 (talk) 17:56, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article was removed in 2007 because the person was deemed a non-notable person. This is not the case. Laura Carlsen is a renowned expert in Latin American affairs. She is a member of the Center for International Policy, a well-respected Washington.based think tank, and is director of the organization's Americas Program. She regularly writes for Foreign Policy in Focus and had an article recently published by The Nation. She is a frequent guest on Democracy Now and wrote extensively on the Honduras Crisis, and her articles became a point of reference for the subject. She appears regularly on CNN, Al jazeera and Telesur.

If this article is reposted, I promise to update the article appropriately.

Done The article was deleted under the WP:Proposed deletion process for uncontentious deletions, and so is automatically restored on request. I will notify user Fram (talk · contribs), who proposed it for deletion, in case he wishes to nominate it under the WP:Articles for deletion process, but I will tell him that you plan to update it.
What you need to establish is notability, a requirement to have a Wikipedia article, which is not a matter of opinion but needs to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and press releases. More detail at WP:Notability (people). Sources associated with the subject can be cited to provide verification, but do not count towards establishing notability.
I have added one reference to the article, in order to lift it out of the currently contentious category Unreferenced biographies of living persons; but that raises another concern: the wording of the article is almost identical to that of the website I have listed as a reference. As a matter of some urgency, you should either rewrite the article in your own words, or arrange a copyright release as described in WP:Donating copyrighted materials - note that just asserting permission to use is not enough.
There is good advice at WP:Your first article, and you should read the policy on WP:Biographies of living persons. If you are planning to contribute, may I suggest that you register an account, which is easy and free, and will make communication easier?
Regards, JohnCD (talk) 18:47, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Update: the restored article has been deleted as a copyright violation of this. What to do next: check that you can find independent references to establish notability as explained above; if so, write an article in your own words, for which you will need to register an account or, if you don't want to do that, place a request at WP:Requested articles. Ananta Das Babaji

I have looked at the discussion trail and found that the person that deleted it is a member of the opposite group, the Hare Krishna or such like. And i remember in the past that he has caused for other pages be deleted for the same mean reason, because he belongs to the opposite camp. I think the reason for the deletion is very mischievous and mean. The reason cited is petty. Pandit Sri Ananta das is a revered scholar of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition and has written many books in the Indian language and English. He has many disciples in India and in the west. I request that the page be restored ASAP. Thanks -58.107.177.114 (talk) 05:09, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Colin Ramirez

The article was deleted on the grounds of lack of notability. It's easy to prove that Colin Ramirez is not notable enough as a football player. However, what makes him notable is the fact that he's the better and most well-known Gibraltarian football player. See for instance here, where he is described as the "best local [Gibraltarian] football player in the last decade" [el mejor futbolista local de las últimas décadas], what makes him notable enough to have an article (the same reference also describes how he was tested by Málaga CF, a professional team, although he didn't get the post as there was a limitation on the number of foreign players -Ecemaml (talk) 13:24, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

List of nontheists (surnames E to G)

No clue why a portion of the List of athiests was deleted. The list was so long that it had to be broken up into sub articles by last name. Both the List of nontheists (surnames E to G) and List of nontheists (surnames H to K) were deleted (speedy) whilst the rest were left intact. I won't go so far as to speculate on bad faith but the articles clearly don't meet speedy deletion criteria (considering they have extensive content not elsewhere found on wiki) and that the deletions weren't uniform and looked poorly thought out/hasty at best. Please review and undelete. -Nefariousski (talk) 21:03, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Teechart

TeeChart is a non-commercial and commercial programmer's charting library in existence since 1995. Widely acclaimed and offered to the Borland Delphi community since 1995 (as profit and non-profit) and with (amongst commercial products) a free charting library product to the .NET community since 2003 (see for example http://www.steema.com/download/other_projects). TeeChart has been used in professional and academic circles for many years. A quick Google search gives 154,000 hits, more, for example, than some other similar entity types with wikipedia page entries. Other examples of this entity type would be "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dundas_Data_Visualization,_Inc." (in this case a company) and "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusioncharts" (in this case a charting library). We are unsure of the deletion criteria in the face of the existence of the aforementioned pages and the relative search-engine hitcount. Deletion comments include "I can't find significant coverage for this company". TeeChart is not a company, it is a 'much-loved' charting library. Thanks in advance for your attention. My interest is subjective in nature but hopefully objective in terms of worth analysis. -Mmbcn (talk) 10:47, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The presidents song

The Page was deleted about a month ago under CSD: G8. I hate to see this article go, as I am a big fan of animaniacs and the article provided an insight to the presidents and the lyrics. This was an unnecessary deletion, and I would like it back. It could be merged with the animaniacs main article or be created with a second article explaining the music in the program. Most of all, I would like it restored. AndrewrpTally-ho! 01:08, 5 March 2010 (UTC) -AndrewrpTally-ho! 01:08, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not done The presidents song redirected to The Presidents (song), a deleted page. If you want it to redirect to Animaniacs, no restore is needed -- just recreate the page as a redirect. We can't restore The Presidents (song) here because it was deleted as a result of a deletion discussion. If you want that one to also redirect to Animaniacs, I don't see anything preventing you from creating the redirect. HTH.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 01:17, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

URW

URW is the name of a font foundry. I don't know why it was deleted, it's not my battle, but there are still 28 links out there to URW. I've heard of the company before, I own some of their fonts, and I speculate that the decision to terminate may well have been rash. Today I opened a new page for Union of Russian Workers. I put up a dab page for "URW" with one possibility being my topic and the other URW (foundry) as a red link. Somebody changed it to a jump page on the basis that a dab page shouldn't have just one article and one red link, thus restoring the 28 erroneous links of various fonts to "Union of Russian Workers." Anyway, there seem a lot of links to the foundry, URW, and I propose that the article be restored as URW (foundry). Carrite (talk) 07:35, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done - all previous revisions have been restored to User:Carrite/URW. The article was deleted because it was found that the article did not indicate any notability. If you can fix this, you are welcome to move the page back to URW. Since there are only two topics to disambiguate from URW, a disambiguation page won't be necessary (as hatnotes will suffice). Great Comet of 1860 (C 1860 M1)

I think this was a notable historical and astronomical event which should be on Wikipedia along with other great comets for comparison with them.It is also having its 150th anniversary this year which makes it slightly topical again!124.182.98.146 (talk) 06:31, 6 March 2010 (UTC) NB. First time I've put in an undeletion request so hope its okay. StevoR -124.182.98.146 (talk) 06:31, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - it doesn't look like the article has ever existed, at least under these names: Great Comet of 1860 (C 1860 M1), Great Comet of 1860 aka C 1860 M1, Great Comet of 1860, and C 1860 M1. You are welcome, of course, to create the article yourself, but maybe you were looking for the Great Comet of 1861? Regards, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 13:30, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
1861 was a different comet. But I agree with Arbitrarily0 that there's no evidence the article ever existed, including at Great Comet of 1860, which is redlinked from List_of_non-periodic_comets#1910_and_earlier_.28chronological.29. I'd suggest registering for an account and writing the article yourself. HTH --Fabrictramp | talk to me 16:11, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Four-stage model of data compression

it was a good page, but it was deleted at 01:19, 20 June 2006 by Kungfuadam, reason = "(closing prod)". The page was written by me, though perhaps unsigned (I can't check -- it's been deleted and I don't know how to find it). I do have 25 U.S. patents in the field of compression issued in my name, along with several journal articles,so may not be utterly unqualified to write such a page. -Jamesdowallen (talk) 10:41, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cfcuk

Hi,

I feel that the reason that the original article that was posted was deleted because I inadvertently used the term ‘notable’ in a general sense, rather than in the defined way in which it is used within the Wikipedia webpages.

The cfcuk fanzine has been in existence for 11 years with the current season being the 11th that the fanzine has been published. Issue 108 was published on March 7th to coincide with Chelsea’s 6th Round FA Cup tie at Stamford Bridge against Stoke City.

With average sales of 25,000 per season – the seasonal average is 12 issues with between 1800 and 2500 of each edition published, the cfcuk fanzine has established itself as the most read Chelsea fanzine.

As far as ‘notability’ is concerned, the cfcuk fanzine has, in one form or another, been mentioned in many books, publications and newspapers. Formerly entitled “Matthew Harding’s Blue And White Army”, it has been credited in the following books to mention a few. “The Special Ones – Chelsea By The Fans” by Martin Knight and John King, “Over Land And Sea”, “One Man Went To Mow” – both by Mark Worrall and also “Chelsea Here – Chelsea There” by Mark Worrall and Kelvin Barker, two editions of “Survival Of The Fattest”, a publication featuring articles and excerpts from the majority of the UK’s football fanzines.

Over the years, the Matthew Harding’s Blue And White Army / cfcuk fanzine has featured several interviews with ex and current Chelsea footballers including Peter Osgood, Charlie Cooke and current Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole who has been interviewed twice (in issue 50 and 100). Ex-Chelsea and Wales international Mickey Thomas is a regular contributor with his own column and the fanzine has also featured interviews with several Chelsea supporting celebrities.

Because of its presence ‘on the street’ the cfcuk fanzine is a permanent member of the Chelsea Fans’ Forum, a body of supporters that meets regularly with officials from the club to discuss policy and issues that arise.

The fanzine is also mentioned in the following web links;

http://www.footballgroundguide.com/chelsea/information.htm

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-sport/article-23657906-football-talk.do

and is even mentioned on the Official Chelsea FC website by way of the following quote, “David Johnstone, known to many Chelsea supporters through his cfcuk fanzine, describes himself as playing the Makelele role in the book's creation. He adds: 'That goal, along with Peter Osgood's in the 1970 Cup Final replay, is one of the most iconic in Chelsea history. The whole club - players and supporters - all there in that one moment of magic.” (link below)

http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~1814929,00.html

The following link below refers to the fact that former Chelsea, Manchester Utd (amongst others) and Wales star Mickey Thomas is a regular contributor

http://www.thefootballnetwork.net/main/s379/st136373.htm

While the following link refers to cfcuk as in its use by someone who completed an Masters (MA) thesis;

http://www.diplom.de/.../Football_Fanzines_and_Cultures_of_Memory.html

It also gets a mention on the following web pages;

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/.../Forget-greasy-pie--Chelsea-football-fans-dining-Marcos-45-fish-chip-supper.html

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article326741.ece

The cfcuk fanzine has been mentioned in previous seasons within the pages of two Manchester Utd fanzines, namely Red Issue and United We Stand with the editor of the latter MUFC fanzine (Andy Mitten) knowing the editor of cfcuk.

Also, like United We Stand and TOOFIF, cfcuk was also a member of the now defunct Rivals network – albeit under its previous name MHBAWA (Matthew Harding’s Blue And White Army) and was, in fact, one of the first fanzines that the network – then controlled by Chrysalis records – signed up. -78.146.24.68 (talk) 11:49, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brett Salisbury

yourRationale -24.253.27.16 (talk) 11:02, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Early life Brett grew up in Escondido, California, located in San Diego County, where he attended Orange Glen High School.

College career Salisbury signed his letter of intent to Brigham Young University as an All-American high school quarterback.

Professional career After the 1995 season he left for Milan, Italy to pursue a modeling career.
