Welcome to my talk page! Please feel free to leave a message here, or email me if you prefer; however, if you post here you I ask that you observe the following requests:

  • Place new messages at the bottom of the page, not at the top. This preserves the chronological order for the page.
  • Separate topic sections with a ==Descriptive header==
  • Sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~).
  • BE POLITE. I am a person, not a computer. I do have feelings, and they can be hurt.
  • Solicitors are welcome here, but do not twist my arm to do something. It's my decision, not yours.
  • If you need/want my input on a matter outside of this page then please leave a link to the page in question.
  • Did I delete your page? For CSD, click here; for AFD click here and follow the instructions.
  • Do not post in the archive(s). I will not answer any post placed on a page that is mothballed.
  • Unless otherwise noted I will respond on your talk page, not mine.

Tom, how would you feel about having a co-nom at FAC? There are a bunch of people who have worked on the article, any of them would be fine. I'm thinking that FAC (and A-class, for that matter) will go better if someone is around all the time to answer questions. - Dank (push to talk) 15:40, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:The Five Greatest Warriors cover.jpg

⚠
Thanks for uploading File:The Five Greatest Warriors cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Military history project ACRs for closure

Hi, sorry to bother you. We are currently having trouble finding an uninvolved co-ordinator to close a few ACRs. If you get a free moment, could you please take a look at the list at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history/Coordinators#ACRs for closure and close one if you are uninvolved? Cheers! Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. ViSalus

I was just typing up my response to another user tagging the ViSalus incorrectly as a scam (used a non-RS source to back that claim up). There are some RS to support the notability of the company. I don't believe speedy was the correct tag for this article, and had no time to respond before it was deleted. This should have been tagged with {{Primary sources}} not the notability tag.  Leef5  TALK | CONTRIBS 11:58, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Anything else I need to do on my end? I did post this in Deletion Review with enough RS to establish notability. The editor that tagged it as speedy is going a little overboard on the AN/I section...  Leef5  TALK | CONTRIBS 14:07, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

How much time do you spend considering before you submit a CSD? Rich Farmbrough, 19:40, 24 August 2011 (UTC).

Becasue I was amazed at how quickly I got an edit conflict, personally I think it's worth spending few minutes checking notability. Rich Farmbrough, 09:02, 25 August 2011 (UTC).

Request

Tom, could you do me a favor? Could you go to User:bahamut0013/Wiki Stuff and post copies of the two Wiki awards, the Titan's Cross - Silver and the WikiCheveron with Oak leaves, which Robert has been awarded posthumously? I rather that you do it because I don't want to mess things up. Thank U. Tony the Marine (talk) 15:16, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Bahamut0013

Moonriddengirl and myself are discussing a way to honour the late Bahamut0013 on his user page aside from the traditional preserved userpage method. We began discussing at her talk page, and have since moved the discussion here. As you awarded one of the two posthumous barnstars planned for inclusion in this tribute, I thought you might be interested in the discussion. Feel free to participate in the discussion. (Note that given the class of these awards, burying them among "Wiki Stuff" just seems like a joke.) CycloneGU (talk) 16:07, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

If it is a scam, I'll post a warning in the talk page, however if it is not then maybe (I have no idea what) something can be done in it's regard. Talkback

Hello, TomStar81. You have new messages at Shem1805's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

A tag has been placed on File:4 strokes engine.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Inquiry

How come you deleted the Blunted at Birth page?

-- Jacob

It failed notability guidelines; there were no references for the article, and I saw no reason to dignify it with an afd when it was bound to be deleted in the long run. Was there some reason you were asking specifically, or was it just out of curiosity? TomStar81 (Talk) 08:05, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
