"Hi Hater" is the first single from Brooklyn rapper Maino's debut album If Tomorrow Comes....[1] It was featured in the video game Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

Music video

The music video for the song was directed by Dan the Man and mostly takes place in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn which is Maino's hometown.

Production and samples

The song was produced by Mista Raja and Co-produced by Maino.

The song primarily samples rap legend Jimmy Spicer's hit song, "Money (Dollar Bill Y'all)".

A remix of the song was released. It features Swizz Beatz, T.I., Plies, Jadakiss and Fabolous. The remix was released on iTunes and Amazon for Digital download on February 14, 2009 on Maino is the Future a mixtape presented by Big Mike.

Music Video

The video for the remix is directed by Mazik Saevitz. It was shot at Cinema World Studios in Brooklyn. Mya, Big Kuntry King, Common and Red Cafe make cameo appearances.[4][5] The music video was released September 11, 2008. T.I. parodies P. Diddy in his music video "Flava in Ya Ear (remix)" in the beginning of the video.[6]

The set up of the video begins with T.I, with a parody of P. Diddy, when T.I. states "Hatas, Come out and play" when knocking to coke bottles together. The video features the artist in front of a white background, rapping there verses. At the end of each of the verses, The artists' hand prints appear on screen in different colors, Maino's purple at the end of the video, T.I's orange, Swizz Beatz's dark green, Plies's yellow, and Jadakiss's blue. Fabolous does not use his hand, but uses the hand of one of the video girls, the last hand print is pink.
