- In 1998, Lopez was paid over $1 million for her role as a deputy federal marshal who falls for a charming criminal (played by George Clooney) in the critically acclaimed film Out of Sight which was Steven Soderbergh's adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel.[31][32][33]
- On the charted date of February 10, 2001, Lopez's second studio album J.Lo debuted at the summit of the US Billboard 200 albums chart, having sold a total of 272,000 copies that week. At the same time, Lopez's film, The Wedding Planner, was number one at the box office. Lopez became the first person to have a number one album and film at the same time.[34]
- Following its release on February 5, 2002, Lopez's remix album J to tha L-O! The Remixes made debuted at the summit of the US Billboard 200, making Lopez the first artist to have a number-one remix album (and the first out of only two in history to debut at the top spot of the chart), after amassing sales of 156,000 copies in its first week. It appeared in the Guinness Book of World Records for achieving this.[35]
- Lopez's video for "On The Floor" (2011) has, to date, over 520 million views on YouTube, and holds the record for being the most viewed music video by a female, haven overtaken Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" (2009) music video. It is also the second most viewed music video of all time.
- Currently, Lopez holds the record for highest paid Latin actress in Hollywood, with her highest reported salary being US$15 million per film role.[36][37]
