PTV Sports is a 24-hour Pakistani sports channel. The PTV Sports test transmission began emanating from AsiaSat 3S at an orbit of 105.5ºE on 30 December 2011.[1] According to Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Pakistan's minister of information and broadcasting, the process of digitisation should be complete by December 2012.[2] It belongs to the Pakistan Television Corporation. An agreement worth USD 45 million signed between PTV and Zee TV was aimed at only promoting and broadcasting sports events on the state-run channel [3].
