Songwe Airport (ICAO: HTGW) is an airport in the southern highland region of Tanzania, serving Mbeya City and the surrounding Mbeya Region.[1] It is located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of the city, off the A104 road. The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority issued a NOTAM on 12 December 2012 saying "WEF 13 DEC 2012 new airport called Songwe opened and operational."[2]
