The phrase "scooby dooby doo" plays an important role in the Flintstones episode "The Big Move" which predates ''Scooby-Doo'' by about half a decade. I don't know if anyone's ever written about this and I would never---heaven forbid---do any original research, so I'm just noting this for future whatever. Scooby-Doo! Spooky Games

This is advertised on the DVD, I have the DVD in my own personal collection, as an episode and as far as I know and I have found no source to say so, it has not aired on TV so it is not a TV special and is too short to be a animated telefilm. So posting it under this section to me is misleading when in fact all it was was a bonus episode on Scooby-Doo! Laff-A-Lympics: Spooky Games is inappropriate. It should however (and since I have already done so) be posted in the 2000s series revival section only. And I believe if there are anymore episodes they should only be posted there with source otherwise no source it doesn't exist and needs to be removed. So I am removing and ask that no one post Scooby-Doo! Spooky Games under TV specials and animated telefilms as it is misleading and remember this is an encyclopedia based on accuracy and posting misleading information is not what Wikipedia is about. So please either revert or remove any further postings of this episode under TV specials and animated telefilms so we are not misleading people. ^_^ Swifty*talk 22:00, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It was aired on Cartoon Network, before the DVD was released, and several times after(thats where I first saw it, but then saw the DVD), I haven't found a source but I will look, I think it should be added, but It isn't an "episode" of something, so it is a special, either of Tv special, or a DVD released special.Caringtype1 (talk) 22:32, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Was is misleading is not including it anywhere under the "filmography" section, since it was a special, it was definitely not an episode of Laff-a-Lympics, just a bonus feature on the DVD.Caringtype1 (talk) 22:49, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you cannot find a source to show that it aired on TV then it is misleading to post it in the "filmography". If it is only a "bonus feature on a DVD", as you called it, it is not the same thing as a "TV special" or a "telefilm." So posting it as that is misleading. ^_^ Swifty*talk 23:32, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Also would like to add that the source must be reliable, such would be either Cartoon Network.com, Adultswim.com, and TV Guide.com. Fan sites, blogs, off branched wikis, such as Scoobydoo.wikia.com, and TV.com are not reliable sources. ^_^ Swifty*talk 23:41, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It was a bonus feature on the DVD, meaning not the main part of the DVD, but it is the same as a special, it has aired on TV(I'm checking the schedules to see it if will air again for a reference), so if we don't include this in the filmography, by the same logic, we have to remove "Night of the Living Doo", and "..The Ghoul School", etc. It belongs in the section.Caringtype1 (talk) 00:06, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay now you are getting a bit ridiculous here and are going off the point. The point is not that, all the ones you just mentioned have aired on TV or are a telefilm. Going off bases is a weak way to try and get your way instead of looking for a source and no it is not the same. If you read the section name it says TV SPECIALS AND TELEFILMS a DVD bonus feature is NOT a TV special is it? NO. And is it long enough to be a telefilm? NO. So if you can pull up a source to show it aired then that is fine but if you cannot then a bonus feature is not a TV special or a telefilm. There is a MAJOR difference between a bonus feature/special feature on a DVD and a special episode or telefilm that airs on TV. A BIG difference. ^_^ Swifty*talk 00:12, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I know for a fact that the episode has aired; I've seen it myself. We'll have to see if it airs again for reference, but since it has aired on TV (and my Time Warner Cable TV Guide listed it as "Scooby Doo! Spooky Games"), we should include it under TV Specials. Okay well still need a reference for now, I'm not saying you're wrong bud, just need a source. This page is already got a flag on it for non-sourced information. ^_^ Swifty*talk 01:12, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder, is this a reliable source? It does list the airdate for "Spooky Games" several times... Black Yoshi (Yoshi! | Yoshi's Eggs) 01:19, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I couldn't tell you if it was or not it looks like a fan site to me but that's my opinion we need to get a wider view on this subject as well as opinions on sources for this particular "episode" or whatever it is cause as of right now they are very slim. ^_^ Swifty*talk 01:24, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is a fair thought I think and possibly a good idea. How about posting say four sources that state that it aired on TV, even if they are questionably about their reliability cause as it is if more the one usually states it then it's more then likely true. Offbranch Wiki sites do not count in this those are just like Wikipedia. So there's the deal it stays in there for now with a {{cn}} for one month and if it passes and four sources are not found, I will remove it from the TV specials and animated telefilms section and restore the post I put in the 2000s revival series. Sound fair? ^_^ Swifty*talk 01:32, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent idea. Black Yoshi (Yoshi! | Yoshi's Eggs) 01:52, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say that's reliable enough for the point being made. Not everything has to be referenced but it does help. That being said if a better reference comes along then use it, but this seems fine. Four sources by the way is a bit much for something you're already struggling to find. Thanks Jenova20 (email) 08:18, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This lists it as a never-before-seen episode, so it looks like we're playing the waiting game after all. Eventually TV guides should list it. Thanks Jenova20 (email) 10:22, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Catch-phrases?

Should we add a section on catch phrases from the various incarnations of the show? Like Shaggy's "Zoinks!" to the villain of the week claiming "I would have gotten away with it too, if hadn't been for you meddling kids." Nutster (talk) 15:07, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about that one...I think the catchphrases for each character belong on the pages for their respective character (So, "Zoinks!" belongs on Shaggy's page, for example); only if the catchphrase doesn't belong to a certain character, but is muttered regularly on the show would it belong here. I just don't think a list of catchphrases is really necessary here. Black Yoshi (Yoshi! | Yoshi's Eggs) 15:14, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Tend to agree. Think that this could turn into a "romantic interests" thing that has snowballed into a trivial rabbithole that has to constantly be watched and cleaned up... Ckruschke (talk) 04:48, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Ckruschke[reply]

Micky Dolenz was a voice-over for Scooby Doo

The Wikipedia article about Scooby Doo left out Micky Dolenz' name as a voice-over for the Scooby-Doo Where Are You! Third Season. His name is listed in the end credits. Also the Wikipedia article about Micky Dolenz lists the Scooby Doo cartoon as one of the several cartoons he did voice-overs for.

Mickey Dolenz played one-off characters in a small handful of Scooby-Doo episodes (his credit in the end credits of the "third season" of Scooby-Doo, Where are You! - read that show's article for why that's in quotes) is probably derived from his role as Alex in the "Mawmba Wamba and the Voodoo Hoodoo" episode of The Scooby-Doo Show). He didn't play a major regular or semi-regular character, so he wouldn't be listed here. He is listed at The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour page. --FuriousFreddy (talk) 20:46, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
