The 2016 Clemson Tigers football team represents Clemson University in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tigers are led by head coach Dabo Swinney in his eighth full year and ninth overall since taking over midway through 2008 season. They play their home games at Memorial Stadium, also known as "Death Valley", and compete in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tigers enter the 2016 season after a 14–1 record and an appearance in the CFP National Championship game in 2015.[1]

Both coaches were extremely successful at their former high schools with a combined win/loss record of 195-61 and numerous championship titles.[4][5]
