@Sabrinahljones: So, your edit's not really different from what's already there, but it's really too much detail. A lot of trivia, really. I'm not going to make the edit because it doesn't really improve the article, but please feel free to ask me any further questions about this. The_Turn_of_the_Screw_(opera) (filter log)
Description
I wanted to change "paedophiliac" into "homosexual" since it distorts the meaning of the referenced article (Guardian: Filthy Britten). The Latin words that Miles is using express his homosexual desire (which is symbolized by Quint). Why should a young boy be a pedophile if he uses codewords for "penis"? The clue of the scene «The lesson» consists in the convenience of both, the governess and Miles, with the phallic words while Flora rather wants to change the topic into history (admiration for "Bodicea" with lesbian connotation). Therefore, the child abuse lies in the eyes of a Victorian society (symbolized by the governess), which condemns homosexual desire.

@Yrzuv:  Not done: the table appears to be more comprehensive as-is. Not too concerned about simplicity in tables like this: it is easy to ignore information you don't need and focus on what's important to you. Compassionate727 (T·C) 20:46, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Everything seems to check out here, and although he is a paid editor (he declared it in the edit summary) this appears to be an unbiased edit. However, I'd like other people's opinions about it, since it's a more comprehensive edit than most of the false positive reports. EggRoll97 (talk) 09:14, 17 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Abentona and EggRoll97:  Edit made. iTunes is reliable. It's not significant, so it does nothing for proving notability, but it is sufficient to document that a single exists. Compassionate727 (T·C) 21:10, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Frederick Trump (filter log)
Description
corrected "born as" surname to Drumpf. Added the category in which he immigrated as it is politically relevant to today's vernacular. Added the date of immigration. Explained reason for the name change from "Drumpf" to the Americanized version of "Trump."

Frederick Trump (born Friedrich Drumpf; 14 March 1869 – 30 May 1918) was a German-American businessman and the patriarch of the Trump family. Born in Kallstadt, in the Kingdom of Bavaria (now in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany), he immigrated as an "undocumented alien child" to the United States at the age of 16, in 1885, and started working as a barber. Several years later, in 1891, he moved to the Northwest and "Americanized" his name from "Drumpf" to "Trump" due to anti-German hostilities. [empty ref tags removed]

Comments
Not done @Wodaji: The "Drumpf" name is already covered in the Frederick Trump#Surname section and has been discussed extensively on the talk page. The "undocumented alien child" claim would need to be cited to a reliable source. The article currently mentions his "immigration records", but if you think that's a mistake, you can bring it up (along with your sources) at Talk:Frederick Trump. Description
Was adding an example of an alternate Earth referenced in an episode of Supergirl, during which I quoted a character who said of the Earth that "it sucks". The quote likely triggered the filter, but the edit was legitimate. I removed the quote and it was allowed. So it's a bit of a bug that an in-context quote was flagged as unconstructive.

American-born Chinese
Description
Suggesting a merge of American-born Chinese into Chinese American, which has been mentioned a number of times on the talk page, and which is eminently reasonable. The American-born Chinese article provides no evidence at all that the term is notable and in any case, Wikipedia is NOT a dictionary. The term "American-Born Chinese" could be covered in a single sentence in the "Chinese American" article. There is no need for it to have its own article.

Date and time
10:26, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
Comments

@Viking6767: The content translation tool is disabled on the English Wikipedia for a couple of reasons (you can read about it here). One of them is that many articles copied from other Wikipedias don't meet the English wiki's policies, and this is one of them. The issues here are you don't have any inline citations (so we can't tell which information came from where) and you only have partial citations, so it'd be nearly impossible to find the actual source. Please fix these before submitting, and please ask me if you have any questions. Compassionate727 (T·C) 20:10, 20 August 2018 (UTC) @Compassionate727: Thanks for your answer. This was a direct translation of the page in Swedish. Only one online source is still valid. The rest I assume was taken from the books cited. Viking6767 (talk) 07:01, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@192.121.245.4: While your edit wouldn't have even tripped the filter if not for your edit summary (you can figure out what it was, I'm sure), I'd like to ask for your sources for this change, as, unfortunately, Wikipedia is anonymous, and we have no way to confirm or deny your identity. EggRoll97 (talk) 12:12, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@EggRoll97 I took this image at work, it's the placement of the condiments on the burgers. Raw onion on top of spread, regular onion on the meat. https://imgur.com/a/wk6UsMN

Done I'm putting this in there as this doesn't appear to be against any policies. I will warn you though, Imgur isn't exactly a reliable source to many, as that can be taken by anyone. I advise you to watch the page, and if the change is reverted, please voice your concerns on the article talk page and seek consensus. EggRoll97 (talk) 09:15, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

TL:DR, putting it in under WP:BOLD, it can be reverted by someone else if needed.

I've made several changes to the article and every time all the changes I make are completely removed.

The three paragraphs you added aren't appropriate (Wikipedia is not an essay). The actual vocabulary changes may have merit, but I would raise that on the talk page, rather than here at false positives, so that more qualified people can consider it.
