Stand by Me Doraemon 2 (スタンド・バイ・ミー ドラえもん 2) is a Japanese 3D computer animated science fiction drama comedy film based on the Doraemon manga series and a sequel to 2014 film Stand by Me Doraemon. Directed by Ryūichi Yagi and Takashi Yamazaki, it will be largely based on Doraemon' s 2000 short film Doraemon: A Grandmother's Recollections and shortly based on Doraemon' s 2002 short film The Day When I Was Born.

Story

One day Nobita Nobi found a old stuffed bear which his grandmother gave it to him. Nobita decided to go back in time to meet his grandmother. Grandma accepts Nobita's belief that he is a young child who has suddenly arrived. Nobita' s grandmother said "I want to see your bride once." And from this one sentence of grandma Doraemon and Nobita's big blasphemy begins. Nobita and Doraemon were trying to show their grandmother a marriage ceremony, but Adult Nobita escaped on the day of his marriage ceremony. Adult Gian and Suneo looking for Nobita. Shizuka who keeps waiting with confidence. Nobita and Doraemon take the time to fulfill the wishes of grandma, to meet the wishes of her family, friends and Shizuka Minamoto, who she likes very much.[1]

Release

It was originally scheduled to release in theaters on 7 August 2020.[3][4] However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was temporarily removed from the release schedule, and was replaced by Doraemon: Nobita's New Dinosaur (which had been postponed from a previous March release.[5] The film has been postponed to 20 November 2020.[6]

Soundtrack

The theme song is Niji (Rainbow) by Masaki Suda.[7]
