Galina Vishnevskaya turns 80 today, if anybody cares. --Ghirla -трёп- 06:29, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Agincourt, anyone? mkehrt 19:43, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Battle of Agincourt article did not qualify under the selected anniversaries criteria in 2007 because it was tagged as missing citations or needs footnotes. Maybe next year. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 03:50, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why no October Revolution? Dieselspeed (talk) 04:12, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

25 October is the date according to the Julian calendar. Events listed on On this day/Selected anniversaries revolve around the Gregorian calendar. And since the October Revolution article has a Gregorian calendar date of 7 November, that is when it has appeared since 2004.[1] Cheers. Zzyzx11 (talk) 06:53, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh, I failed to notice that. Fair enough, thanks! Dieselspeed (talk) 22:12, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not very familiar with this section of Wikipedia, but can someone add the Day of Arafa (Islamic holiday) to the list. It will fall only this year on 25 October, because they are using the Lunar calendar. And on October 26, the holiday of Eid al Adha will be observed by Muslims for three days. Thanks in advance. Unfortunately, Day of Arafa is ineligible, as it has almost no references. I will get Eid al-Adha on, though. Thanks! howcheng {chat} 20:05, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
