Please, please, please, stop your disruptive editing. I've already explained numerous times that "6TheoryMedia" needs to be included because it is the publisher. The work/website parameter in the cite web template is used for the name of the website. Also, why is it so hard to engage in a discussion? I've attempted numerous times to start one but you just ignore and revert anyway. The only time it is not included is when the source in question is a periodical but that is not the case here, so... Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 04:41, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm getting tired of this. Unless you're willing to engage in a discussion, this is futile. I've already stated my point, pointing out to you why for umpteenth time "6TheoryMedia" is included as the publisher. Also, don't be a hypocrite posting a "not assuming good faith" template to my talk page and then simply reverting again. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 07:13, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, lets discuss. If a source is directly from allkpop, then why 6Theroy Media need to be included?

Launched in October 2007, allkpop.com (parent company 6Theory) has become the premier source for all the latest K-pop celebrity gossip and news. Catering to over 6 million monthly readers worldwide*, and serving over 100 million page views per month*, allkpop is the most trafficked English based K-pop news site in the world. allkpop works around the clock to be the first to deliver minute to minute breaking news, gossip, and the most exclusive coverage on the hottest K-pop stars. (Source)

Root word of "publisher" is publish.

pub·lish (pblsh)

v. pub·lished, pub·lish·ing, pub·lish·es

v.tr.

1. To prepare and issue (printed material) for public distribution or sale. (Source)

and the meaning of publisher,

pub·lish·er (pbl-shr)

n.

One that is engaged in publishing printed material. (Source)

So as a whole, "publisher=" is for allkpop because it is a publisher of K-pop news and "work=" is meant for 6Theory Media because it's not a news site.
Practicing the usage of either one of the parameter is enough to indicate where the source is coming from; so why need to include something unnecessary?
Sni56996 (talk) 08:11, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's not unnecessary. "Publisher=" is for 6TheoryMedia. Because 6TheoryMedia publishes Allkpop. See almost any ref from Billboard, where Prometheus Global Media is also listed because Prometheus Global Media owns, and therefore publishes Billboard. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 08:36, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I still not convinced. Like I said before, its the meaning of the word, not substantial purpose of the parameter as a whole. Sni56996 (talk) 18:22, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Regardless of the meaning of the word "publish", "6TheoryMedia" should be included in any ref from Allkpop anyways. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 06:13, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Take a look at these guides to citing webpages:[1][2][3] Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 07:19, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
But an editor should follow Wikipedia guides/styles, not from other websites. Sni56996 (talk) 07:33, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I just provided those websites as further examples, Wikipedia uses the same citation styles. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 07:48, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
template:Cite web/doc has examples where work = Encyclopedia of Things and publisher = Open Publishing website also is the same as work, and for template:Cite news/doc, work is the same as journal, newspaper, magazine, periodical. At the bottom of the www.allkpop.com page is: "Copyright © 2007-2013 6Theory Media, LLC. All Rights Reserved. allkpop® is part of the 6Theory Media, LLC, Network. | Handcrafted by Kami". So Allkpop can be used as work / website and publisher can be 6Theory Media. -AngusWOOF (talk) 17:50, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No space after publisher

[edit]

Hi, I was checking the history for the 2NE1 article. Can you point to the Wikipedia standards that require that no space be between publisher and the = sign ? I don't think it really matters in the cite web as the data is processed the same way. The cite web itself also shows varied spacing in the vertical format. -AngusWOOF (talk) 17:23, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am using a user script called, "ProveIt located at Gadgets under Preferences. It doesn't require any spacing between the equal sign. Sni56996 (talk) 20:18, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, cool. Looks like the script automatically handles it then. No worries. :) -AngusWOOF (talk) 20:26, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of lyrics

[edit]

Can I ask why you have removed the first two lines of the song here. In ictu oculi (talk) 11:08, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, message on Talk page received. Are you simply saying you want this format:

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visiter," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door—
            Only this and nothing more."

In ictu oculi (talk) 11:12, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Forget about the format. The matter is already settled! Sni56996 (talk) 11:19, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Goodo. Thank you for restoring. FWIW WP:SONGLYRICS allows/encourages small quotes from song lyrics. In this case the first 2 lines are needed to demonstrate the unusual mix of Japanese and English mentioned in the article. As for WP:MOS the relevant section MOS:Blockquote can be varied when (1) text, (2) romanization and (3) translation and required. The specimen text "Once upon a midnight dreary" is by Edgar Allen Poe so out of copyright, most song lyrics are in copyright, therefore come under fair use and maximum 10-20% of the song only can be quoted. About ref

[edit]

"interest.me" should be included not only because it's part of the url but also because "Mwave" is also an online computer store, antenna store, something else, emergency coms, Chinese tech store. There is also an arena in Japan called M-Wave and something else at IBM Mwave. If only there was a wiki page on this specific website, then it could be wikilinked to Mwave and nothing else. Cheers. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 11:55, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thanks for the explanation. Sni56996 (talk) 03:22, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your rollback request

[edit]

Hi Sni56996, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert any other type of edit - such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with - can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, use a manual edit summary instead of using the rollback tool. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 09:49, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer userright granted

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

See also:

That ip user only had one edit, changing "Japanese" to "Korean" on Run Devil Run (Girls' Generation song). That doesn't exactly constitute vandalism; it may have very well been a test edit or a misread but most definitely not deliberately. It would be considered disruptive editing if he adds it back. Regardless, please remember to always assume good faith. It would have been better to post a level (1) warning on the talk page (or no warning at all). Because this might have discouraged the ip from making any useful contributions. So, I replaced it with a welcome message. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 12:51, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The reason why I added an archive url is because that specific link will be dead in a few days since Oricon only maintains weekly charts. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 14:23, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Weightlifting at the 2013 Southeast Asian Games may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

URGENT VANDALISM TO FLO RIDA WIKI PAGE

[edit]

Hello, Some vandalist removed all mentions of FLO RIDA song for charity BOOTY ON THE FLOOR he did with Marc Mysterio. Can this edit be reverted as it was highly publicized and well sourced.

Can you please go back to a previous version of FLO RIDA page from august 2013 and re-add these well sourced info on the song and release? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.107.8.27 (talk) 20:47, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Sni56996. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Changi Business Park Bus Terminal, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Amortias (T)(C) 20:33, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Colour for Thomson-East Coast Line

[edit]

Hello, there's a problem with your version of the template. Check the TEL station pages and you will see the colour does not work. The previous format works. I would prefer to fix the issue temporarily first before embarking on a permanent fix. Good day. Seloloving (talk) 10:35, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have fixed the issue by changing the template, {{SMRT color|Thomson}} to {{SMRT color|Thomson-East Coast}}.
Great work, thanks. Seloloving (talk) 17:04, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Editing bus pages

[edit]

When it comes to editing pages like SBS Transit and SMRT Buses, please use the new format like London Central, Metroline, etc. as follows:

"SMRT Buses owns more than 1,200 buses and operates more than 100 bus services in Singapore. It has depots at Ang Mo Kio, Bulim, Kranji and Woodlands."
"SBS Transit operates 75% of the scheduled bus market share in Singapore with more than 300 bus services and a total fleet of more than 3,000 buses. It consists of the largest depots, Ang Mo Kio, Bedok North, Hougang, Loyang and Soon Lee."

Do not copy-edit and rollover fleet updates. Davey2010 and Charlesdrakew had removed those fleet that do not have a reliable source.

Thank you. Timothyhouse1 (talk) 02:44, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
