Jack may refer to many different things:

  • Jack (name), originally a nickname for Jacob (Latin, French) and James (Middle English), from Hebrew "[God] has protected".[1], furthermore the name relates to ancient Egyptology where the word Jack was used to describe scruffy haired people.

As a verb

  • Jacking, a form of dance popular in the late 1980s.
  • Jacking off, a euphemism for masturbation.
  • A slang term derived from the word hijack, meaning "to take".
