Information icon Hello, I'm 331dot. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Robert Nutting, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! 331dot (talk) 16:56, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Citing sources

There is a tool on the standard Wikipedia editor for adding citations. See help:referencing for beginners. wp:Citing sources may be of use. Hope this helps. You can also ask at the wp:Teahouse. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 07:31, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Mitchell Miller (ice hockey), it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 00:12, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to 2022 FIFA World Cup Group B. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Jalen Folf (talk) 00:27, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at 2022 FIFA World Cup controversies, you may be blocked from editing. Probably the only reason you haven't got a lengthy block yet is because you have also been adding sourced content too. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 00:50, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Soccer results

Please make sure to use a dash (–) instead of a hyphen (-) in score templates, per MOS:DASH. Also, make sure to update the result parameter with W, L, or D depending on the outcome for the listed team. SounderBruce 02:34, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

got it don't worry. matches should be ending soon so i'll update them. probably gonna eat dinner soon, so feel free to help as well. cheers and have a great day. 76.166.183.180 (talk) 02:39, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please do not update matches until they have concluded and been marked as finished in the MLS matchcenter. A few of the past discussions about live updates are linked in this editnotice. SounderBruce 02:44, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I made a mistake and got lost trying to copy a knockout bracket. Just add LAFC for MLS top seed and Pachuca for Liga MX top seed. 76.166.183.180 (talk) 01:19, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. You keep adding 2026 FIFA World Cup to the list of former names of various stadiums. How can a stadium have a former name for something that hasn't happened yet? Please stop. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:03, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ok here's the source. https://www.fifa.com/fifaplus/en/articles/world-cup-2026-stadiums-fifa-soccer-football-mexico-usa-canada
Is there a way I can add it without it being "disruptive"? 76.166.183.180 (talk) 19:04, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please make sure to properly fill out citations instead of leaving bare URLs, which are prone to link rot. SounderBruce 19:56, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Hard Rock Stadium. You wrote: "The stadium will host several matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. During the event, the stadium will be temporarily renamed to 'Miami Stadium' in accordance with FIFA's policy on corporate sponsored names." The source cited mentions nothing about "temporary renaming" or FIFA's policy". Moreover, this is trivial content for a concert venue. Please stop your disruptive editing. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at NRG Stadium. The source you used was not reliable. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 08:17, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Ideally you would want to use a secondary source instead of primary source for the edit you made. The source you used is a primary source. Not in all scenarios you can use a primary source, see WP:PRIMARY. AP 499D25 (talk) 08:32, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if other pages are using unreliable sources or none at all, either add reliable sources, or removed the unsourced or poorly sourced content. Don't just add more unsourced or poorly sourced content. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 08:34, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Please be aware that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reverts on a single page within a 24 hour period. Rather than reverting edits, please consider using the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. The dispute resolution processes may also help. Excessive reverting may result in a loss of editing privileges. AP 499D25 (talk) 08:35, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Look, I just wanted to put the Taylor Swift concerts in the concert boxes since they are going to happen. It's a big deal here in America, so I don't understand why just putting them in is an issue. Most people know about it already. 76.166.183.180 (talk) 08:38, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Mercedes-Benz Stadium shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. General Ization Talk 00:44, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on MetLife Stadium. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Untamed1910 (talk) 22:35, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I understand that edit warring is not a good thing. It damages the pages, creates confusion, and is quite disruptive to the flow of the site. It also can create issues if said event doesn't happen, like a concert getting cancelled because of weather or external events. If I can return, I will refrain from such behavior and stick to helpful edits. I will use the discussion pages to help get a consensus from my fellow editors so that there won't be edit wars. More importantly, I stopped edit warring and stuck to adding events that had already happened. 76.166.183.180 (talk) 00:46, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The problems extended beyond edit warring. Yamla (talk) 09:47, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
