The TransJakarta Corridor 3 is the TransJakarta bus rapid transit route that serves from the Kalideres Bus Terminal to the Bundaran HI Bus Station. The streets that corridor 3 passes through are: Daan Mogot, Kyai Tapa, Hasyim Ashari, Cideng Barat/Timur Street, Veteran/Majapahit, Medan Merdeka Barat Street, and M.H. Thamrin. Corridor 3 is integrated with the KAI Commuter Tangerang Line at the Taman Kota Station and Pesing Station and the Jakarta MRT at the Bundaran HI MRT Station. The Kalideres bus station can actually be connected to Kalideres Station, but it is not recommended because the distance between the bus station and the railway station is quite far, as well as the Rawa Buaya bus station.

Until March 3, 2023, corridor 3 serves the route from Kalideres to Pasar Baru. As the impact of Jakarta MRT phase 2A construction, corridor 3 temporarily moved the terminus to Bundaran HI as of March 4, 2023. (see #Temporary readjustment)[1][2][3]
History
Early operational
Along with corridor 2, corridor 3 was inaugurated on January 15, 2006 which received high enthusiasm from the people.[4][5][6] It was targeted that there would be 71 new bus fleets serving corridor 3 and 2 on April 2006, or three months after the first day of operational.[7] Corridor 3 was originally serving the route from Kalideres to Pasar Baru until it was temporarily readjusted in 2023.
24-hour service
Corridor 1, 3, and 9 were the first TransJakarta corridors to began 24-hour services starting on June 1, 2014.[8][9] At the time, the bus only stops at certain stations. Sometime later, all bus stops are served by buses 24 hours a day, so the bus currently stops at all stations.[10][11]
Bus station revitalization
On December 16, 2020, to improve service quality, one of the BRT stations on Corridor 3, namely the Pasar Baru BRT Station (as the terminus of corridor 3 until it was temporarily moved to Bundaran HI) was temporarily closed for revitalization. The revitalization of the Pasar Baru BRT station was completed one month later on January 16, 2021.[12] The Pasar Baru bus station renovation marked the start of the revitalization of 46 TransJakarta bus shelters in 2022.[13]
As the follow-up of the revitalized Pasar Baru bus station, the Jembatan Gantung bus station was also temporarily closed for revitalization since September 5, 2022[14] and the Kalideres bus station on the next day (September 6, 2022).[15]
Temporary readjustment
Starting on March 4, 2023, as the impact of the Jakarta MRT Phase 2A construction, the Harmoni Central bus station which serves corridor 1, 2, 3, and 8, was temporarily moved its operational into a temporary building with limited capacity that can only serves corridor 1 passengers. The Pasar Baru bus station becomes the temporary terminus of corridor 8. To prevent overcapacity of the Pasar Baru bus station due to high density of corridor 3 and 8 passengers, TransJakarta decided to temporarily move the terminus of corridor 3 to the Bundaran HI bus station, so the bus do not stop at Pecenongan, Juanda, and Pasar Baru bus stations. At the same time, TransJakarta began to operate Corridor 3H (Jelambar–Kota) to serve corridor 3 passengers who wanted to go to Kota Tua Jakarta which usually transit to Corridor 1 at Harmoni Central before the readjustment.[16] This temporary readjustment is effective from March 4, 2023 until the MRT construction completed in 2027 or 2029.[1][2][3]
List of BRT Stations
- As the impact of the construction of the Jakarta MRT phase 2A project, the terminus is temporarily moved from Pasar Baru to Bundaran HI from March 4, 2023 until the MRT construction completed in 2027 or 2029.[1][2][3]
- Currently, all bus stops are served by buses 24 hours a day.[10][11]
- Italic text indicates that the BRT Station is temporarily closed for revitalization or the bus do not stop at the station.[1][2][14]
