I'm a big fan of the AfC process for new users and I have a track record of creating high quality AfCs. I would like to assist in clearing the backlog. Presently, I have one article in the AfC draft submission. MicrobiologyMarcus (talk) 16:31, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

User:Yoblyblob

Have been a member of Wikipedia for a few years, and in the last two years have made over 500 edits. I believe I now have a strong understanding of what is required for notability and an article to be accepted. I have primarily worked on sports-related articles and would prefer to primarily review sports/football-related articles. The primary reason I want to do this is to speed up the rate at which football articles are reviewed to improve the coverage of the sport. Yoblyblob (talk) 13:34, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Yoblyblob All other considerations apart, I would like to see a greater track record at WP:AFD, since AFC and AFD are two sides of the same pancake. This includes offering opinions (mostly) and nominations (necessarily less) 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 09:15, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. Two pages deleted, three others draftified, with 0% success at AFD, indicates a lack of knowledge of the notability guidelines. Primefac (talk) 14:12, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

User:Saurabhsaha

I would like to have my name added to the list of active reviewers. I have been actively involved in counter-vandalism, providing assistance in various venues, resolving disputes, and contributing to AFD, all while addressing copyright violations. Saurabh{Talk} 06:22, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now. While you do have a solid CSD record for a (relatively) new user, G11s are easy to spot and are in some ways the lowest rung of the "notability" ladder. Your lack of AFD participation, plus a few deleted pages, has me concerned you do not have a solid understanding (yet) of the notability policies in a broader sense. Oh, so to qualify for the reviewing of articles I need to get involved in discussions about deletion. This is fair enough as it will show my views on what makes an appropriate article. King HB 12:33, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@KINGHB190 I suggest that you don't go a-hunting for articles to nominate, but a solid record of offering relevant opinions that generally match the eventual outcome will hone your skills. New to AfD, you might start with those where others have offered opinions in order to learn. I am not the final arbiter here, just offering my opinion. I'm very happy that you see the need to involve yourself in AfD. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 12:38, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am an Extended confirmed user who is working since this June 14th. I contributed around 3100 edits and created about 95 pages yet. •  Not done I have numerous concerns about the age of your account, how fast you are moving and that you don't quite understand the purpose of this right. It's not a "recognition" to help you "feel motivated" (see WP:HATCOLLECT). In addition, it's important for AfC reviewers to be able to communicate clearly with new editors and I find some of your talk page comments difficult to understand. For instance, I have no idea what you're trying to express by rest is upon my ideals and old users. Spicy (talk) 20:41, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I've been editing Wikipedia on and off for 3 years, have around 2500 edits, participate consistently in AFDs, created around 15 pages (including one using the AFC process!) and was a former AFC Reviewer under the username "ArsenalGhanaPartey." I would love to get working on the backlog again. TheInevitables (talk) 20:02, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@TheInevitables Forgive me, your user talk page suggest you to be semi-retired from Wikipedia with effect from October 2023?
I find your AfD statistics somewhat confusing, Perhaps your user renaming, assuming that to be what it was, has caused anomalous results? 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 21:15, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, apologies for my mistake. That was a tag that was on my user talk page for around a year that I simply neglected to remove.
My AfD statistics seem to have been altered, yes. They don't seem to be accurate, and I have participated significantly more often in AfD discussions than they seem to suggest. TheInevitables (talk) 22:38, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reasons for requesting afc helper script rights are:
  • I have been contributing to Wikimedia Projects for almost 5 years including but not limited to Wikipedia, Wiki Commons, Wikidata, WikiSource, WikiVoyage etc and for the time I have been involved in Wikimedia activities both national and international, I have not seen a reviewer especially in regions like East And Central Africa and I am applying to contribute to the dissemination of accurate and reliable information to the global audience.
  • I am applying to ensure the regional content is accurately represented and that Local notable topics, culture, history and personalities receive proper recognition on a global platform. Several our fellow Wikimedians' contents from around these regions because people that review some this contents don't have a perspective of this regions topics and editors perspectives.Micheal Kaluba (talk) 07:15, 2 November 2023 (UTC) Micheal Kaluba (talk) 07:15, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have a pending AfC request, and figured that I could help pay things forward with clearing the backlog of other articles by handling some of the easier NN declines & providing feedback, leaving experienced folks more time to deal with things closer to the line. I've been around on and off since 2005, have ECP, occasionally patrol ECP requests, and have participated at AfD before. I am aware that I fall slightly short of the 500 mainspace edits count, so will gracefully accept not being approved yet if it's a hard requirement. lizthegrey (talk) 01:04, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I currently have created 7 articles (4 of which went onto DYK) and I think I'm generally aware of most of the basic guidelines for AFC to help out with reviewing new articles by others.  Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. Primefac (talk) 15:48, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've begun starting articles in my userspace as opposed to starting a stub and x5ing it later, and I'd like to publish them and fill out other bits in one. Launchballer 14:10, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, AFCH is not for publishing one's own drafts; AFC is not a requirement and you are welcome to create user sandboxes and move them to article space when they are ready. Primefac (talk) 12:39, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have always wanted to work at AfC but thought it was better to become a NPPR instead. It turns out it is the other way round. I have good knowledge of the article creation process. I am a member of the Guild of Copy Editors and the Lead Improvement Team so I know the MOS and lead stuff like the back of my hand. I like working on Articles that need lots of improvement so I think AfC is the perfect place for me! JacobTheRox (talk) 10:55, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting AFC helper script rights: I wanted to help in reviewing articles and creating redirects. I have a good understanding of deletion and reviewing policies (in case of reviewing, instructions) and I understood how a subject would be notable. I tried to use AFCH but it denied access, stating that I have to be in the list of participants, which unfortunately the main page is protected. I am now requesting it to reduce the current backlog in the category. I wish God would bless the administrator(s) who accept/decline my request. Thank you for reading this. @ToadetteEdit All other considerations apart, I would like to see a track record at WP:AFD, since AFC and AFD are two sides of the same pancake. This includes offering opinions (mostly) and nominations (necessarily less) 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 07:48, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've helped two articles get to mainspace from AFC, (one of which becoming a DYK, and regularly participate in AFD. Please note that it'll take me a bit to learn how to interact with newer users. Mach61 (talk) 14:40, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Mach61 AFC is not just technical acceptances and declines. A lot of the work is in seeking to ensure that a new user whose work is declined feels happy to continue. Do you feel you would be comfortable with that? 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 07:45, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Both AFC drafts I improved to mainspace were initially started by someone else Mach61 (talk) 12:21, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Mach61 THat's good to hear. Thank you also for your honesty with the comment that created my question. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:18, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I wish to become an AfC reviewer. I've had experience with the queue being long (though in some areas more than others), and since I believe I have a sufficient understanding of Wikipedia policies on deletion, notability, meet the criteria for joining and have read the reviewing instructions, I think I'm ready to. I would love to help out with the project! commemorative (talk) 11:32, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Commemorative1: the minimum requirements include 500 mainspace edits, which you do meet quite yet. LittlePuppers (talk) 16:10, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alt of Zippybonzo, I don't have my security key all the time and I want to knock a bit off the backlog. My main account has NPR permissions so I should in theory be eligible here :) -- Zippybonzo (alt)| talk to me | he/she/they 08:15, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
