Title change (move page)[edit]

There seems to be a strong case for changing the name of this page from "Genetically modified tree" to "Genetically modified trees". A plural denotes the fact that multiple tree species are being genetically modified for scientific or commercial reasons - the same goes for genetically modified crops, the page title of which is not "Genetically modified crop" - the creation of this page was strongly informed by the content and layout of the genetically modified crops wiki page.

Additionally, much of the content on genetically modified trees, online, and in print refers to the subject in the plural form. A quick google search (conventional and scholar) on the topic indicates this.

Yeah, this is not really a class of organisms any more than tree is a class of organisms. So, oppose and standardize in singular as per WP:PLURAL. Red Slash 02:34, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
