Tulpa?

[edit]

Alexandra David-Néel supposedly created a tulpa in the form of a small monk, one which other people around her had seen for themselves. Whats the story behind this? The article ought to mention it, even if its controversial. --Ragemanchoo (talk) 08:57, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody has to read the book (Magic and Mystery in Tibet, Initiation and Initiates in Tibet or My Journey to Lhasa). Small information is to be found within the book of Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson about New Zealand, where he describes an interview with Edmund Hillary about the topic and his visit at her house at the age of sixteen. Austerlitz -- 88.75.94.89 (talk) 20:28, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean Hillary saw the tulpa? --RyanTee82 (talk) 07:17, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, this is very important. In fact there should be a special article about Magic and Mystery in Tibet  Jon Ascton  (talk) 21:29, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's no mention of Hillary having seen the tulpa in the tulpa article. Does anyone have an source detailing Hillary's visit to Neel's house and his seeing the tulpa? --RThompson82 (talk) 11:27, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Typo on husband's surname?

[edit]

The "Marriage" section says "she married Philippe Neél de Saint-Sauveur", but everywhere else in this article the acute accent is on the first "e". I'm reluctant to "correct" it without further research or guidance, but my guess is that this is a typo. Bhami (talk) 17:15, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
