The result of the move request was: move. The article mentioning the Weird Al song can be linked from a hatnote. -- tariqabjotu 18:46, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
You Make Me (Avicii song) → You Make Me – The Weird Al song is completely unnotable and there is no other page with the title "You Make Me". Billboard Man (talk) 11:08, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose: As far as I can tell, there is more actual depth of information on Wikipedia about the Weird Al song. At least there is a summary of what the song is about (with a cited source discussing the song and its meaning). For this song, there is no information about what the song is about, no depth to the article, and no sources cited that discuss the song. The article seems to be nothing but a collection of chart statistics, which are insufficient by themselves to establish notability. Mere inclusion of a song in a list of chart statistics is not sufficient. Some greater depth of coverage by reliable sources is needed. Moreover, the article suffers from WP:RECENTISM. Both the song and the article have only existed for about two weeks. —BarrelProof (talk) 04:48, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Note: This is an improperly formatted request to move multiple pages. The request does not discuss what should happen to the existing dab page found at You Make Me. Because of this, no notification was posted to the Talk page for that article. I have just added a notification there. —BarrelProof (talk) 13:19, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support,per WP:TWODABS. Tbhotch.™ Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 08:13, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:DAB, WP:RECENTISM and WP:COMMONSENSE - searchers will find it much easier with the word "Avicii" there! --Richhoncho (talk) 12:25, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support per WP:TWODABS. With few exceptions, an article is primary over something mentioned in another; compare to the outcome at Talk:Larry the Lobster#Requested move 2. This is very similar to that case; there's almost no chance of the Weird Al song ever having its own article. For what it's worth, I consider myself a Weird Al fan and wasn't aware of this song. --BDD (talk) 21:01, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support, an active application of WP:TWODABS. → Lil-℧niquԐ 1 - { Talk } - 21:55, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose WP:TWODABS doesn't say usually one will be primary, if anything TWODABS sets out the cases when one isn't. In this case the Weird Al parody of Michael Jackson receives more Google Book coverage as a notable example of parody, and probably has more long term significance. User:BDD Larry the Lobster (Saturday Night Live) RM2 was a bad example of a non-WP:WORLDVIEW close, not a good example or a precedent. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:46, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support per WP:TWODABS. 68.44.51.49 (talk) 20:55, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support. As others have said this is a WP:TWODABS situation and there's no question this is the primary topic of the two. This move will remove a click for the majority of readers looking for this article. The Weird Al redirect, which doesn't even have an article, can be found just as easily through a hat note as the disambiguation page.--Cúchullain t/c 21:20, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
