Song title

The title of the article, as well as the wording in the entire article is wrong. The song is officially titled "Scream & Shout"[1]. Vancho (talk) 16:31, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

Which cover to use?

Like Womanizer (song), there are two covers for this song. One digital, and assuming the other is for physical releases. For "Womanizer", the physical cover was used. Should the same happen here? Britney's site, for example, uses a cover with an image of the two on it. Statυs (talk) 16:14, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Well, that doesn't make much sense to me. Why would there be another cover to promote the video? What I think happened is, they didn't have the cover ready to have an image on it yet, so they used one without it digitally. This is what happened with "Womanizer". The single cover clearly says will.i.am & Britney Spears not featuring Britney Spears as we have it. Shouldn't the credits be corrected? werldwayd (talk) 07:28, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

The cover does indeed show "and", but that's the only place it appears to be shown as. Regardless of Britney's "feature" comment, that does not mean it is not credited as a duet. Otherwise, the single's cover art would say "featuring" and it would be charting in Billboard as "featuring" (Billboard does not make its own artist credits; they list it as directed by the record label). Whichever record label is promoting it really doesn't matter — there are many cases in which two artists from different labels collaborated and still had the song shown as a duet or co-lead. The difference between sites like Amazon or iTunes is that they can credit things as they want, or as their databases show. Billboard does so based on record labels and artist management. The label promoting the single makes a massive difference. The labels are the ones who pay for the single and collaboration in the majority of cases. The label promoted the song as featuring Brintey Spears. Billboard often list as per the single cover. Actually iTunes often list per the label hence Diddy Dirty Money was changed to Diddy-Dirty Money when P Diddy launched his group as per the request of Interscope. Orphaned references in Scream & Shout

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Scream & Shout's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Official cover

This is the official Scream & Shout cover used on iTunes. Can we change the current cover to this one?

Removed cover as non-free images are not allowed on iTunes. Per WP:NFCC non-free images are only allowed to be used where they enhance user understanding. In this case there are two single covers, one for the iTunes/Digital single and one for the CD single. I agree, the Hit-Boy remix needs its own page or a more detailed article with information on the music video and a photo of the single cover and one of the stills of Britney from the video. What the heck does this mean, and why is it relevant here? Except for the bit about fashion I've removed the other nonsense:

"When asked about the video's concept and style, will.i.am revealed that it will include "uber fresh fashion. The young kids brought their game. I don't want to say it's 'swag.' Because swag is… it's dope, but this is beyond swag. This is swag in reverse, which is gaws," and added that he had the intention to release both video and song together."

Removed irrelevant gushing about Spears from video's director, which tells us nothing about the development of the video:

Remix video

The Scream & Shout Hit Boy remix is extremely notable in Britney's discography and videography for having a separate music video and being a collaboration. It currently has 22 million views on Youtube which also makes it notable. Disagree. The difference is the Scream and Shout remix has it's own music video while none of those remixes do and it's a completely different version of the song. It's approaching 25 million Vevo views yet there's not even a picture of the remix video there. Shouldn't the article credit Tulisa as a singer, too?

AWildAppeared she is credited as a songwriter both in the infobox and lead. She isn't credited for vocals because her vocals aren't on the song.
