Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2017 Ford World Men's Curling Championship, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Geoff Walker. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on Category:Welsh Male curlers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —swpbT 19:24, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

About "2017 CCT Russian Cup"

[edit]

Hi! As I can see, title "2017 CCT Russian Cup" (and "CCT Russian Cup" as well) isn't correct - official title is "Arctic Curling Cup 2017" or "CCT Arctic Cup 2017" (on WCT site and CurlingZone it named as "2017 CCT Arctic Cup"). Maybe renamed articles in En-Wiki? Official site of event is here (Eng). Article in Ru-Wiki (started by me) is here. Good hunting! ;) -- Alexey Gustow (talk) 21:41, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2017 CCT Arctic Cup are now in WCT events list, here (on CurlingZone here). I viewed it only today on WCT site (maybe they added it some days/weeks ago, I don't know). -- Alexey Gustow (talk) 21:56, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A page you started (2017 Pepsi Tankard) has been reviewed!

[edit]

Thanks for creating 2017 Pepsi Tankard, Curler1200!

Wikipedia editor Hydronium Hydroxide just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

1. Not sure if there's a specific guideline, but the commercial sponsorship of the various curling competitions makes the articles' titles feel rather commercial. Compare, for instance, 1997 ARL season rather than "Optus Cup", 1997 Super League (Australia) season rather than "Telstra Cup", and the guidance at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Tennis/Article_guidelines#Article_types_and_recommended_practices. Would you please consider (re)naming your articles descriptively (eg, "2017 New Brunswick men's curling championship"), with a redirect from the commercial names. 2. Would you please add appropriate wikiprojects such as "{{WP Sports}}" to the talkpages of articles you create.

Hello, Curler1200. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "2017 German Masters".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 02:53, 26 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm fairly time constrained, so I will only be creating articles on the major events. I don't mind helping you with some of the event articles; some advice for you: watch your spelling, grammar and formatting. Cheers. -- Earl Andrew - talk 03:02, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve CCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup

[edit]

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Curler1200, thanks for creating CCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This has been tagged for three concerns. It also lacks basic information about exactly when it is, who's involved, what makes it notable, reliable secondary sources etc. It is in danger of being tagged for deletion as it stands; can you help improve it? Good luck.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Boleyn (talk) 06:03, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is likely to be tagged for deletion soon, do you have more to add? Boleyn (talk) 18:55, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article CCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of meeting WP:NOTABILITY.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Good to know you are still working on it. In future, to avoid conflicts with editors from New Page Patrol, it is better to draft an article in a completed form before publishing it as an article on namespace. You can use the draft space or your sandbox for this purpose. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 03:04, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

AfD on US Open of Curling

[edit]

Hi, someone has put 2018 US Open of Curling up for deletion. This is the second time someone has put up one of your WCT even articles up for deletion, and in both cases, it has been because I didn't get the time to clean it up. Please do not leave your articles in a messy state, as they will be more likely to be flagged for deletion. -- Earl Andrew - talk 22:18, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That will help in the future, but I'm not sure if that will be good enough to save the US Open article. -- Earl Andrew - talk 23:01, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
