Steroid use ?

[edit]

Has Mark Coleman ever been officially tested ? Are there any credible sources confirming steroid use ? 69.165.134.74 (talk) 16:28, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

All of today's edits (May 26th) should be rolled back. Coleman has never won a fight by any kind of gogoplata. He has also never fought Brock Lesnar and the info saying he fought Ken Shamrock recently is also false84.216.57.221 (talk) 19:28, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Defeat of Kurt Angle

[edit]

This defeat of Kurt Angle is not cited, nor is it mentioned on Angle's wiki. Perhaps it should be removed until it is cited? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.236.184.2 (talk) 04:19, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stub rating

[edit]

I rated this article as a "Stub" for the pro-wrestling project, which isn't a reflection on the article in general but the decided lack of wrestling content in it ¨¨¨¨

Needs more info on his controversy concerning thrown fights

[edit]

There is alot of concerns dealing with "worked" fights concerning coleman and this article has none. 24.196.219.150 04:58, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What we really need is citations that discuss the issue, per WP:NOR.--Ty580 20:29, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
websites are fine?24.196.219.150 04:58, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Articles on MMA sites like Sherdog and MMAweekly.com are probably fine, but forums etc. don't meet Wikipedia's requirements. The relevant policy page is here: Wikipedia:Reliable_sources.--Ty580 06:49, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone who has actually seen the Takada-Coleman fight would've been suspicious at the very least. Coleman all but admits that it was a work in an interview. - BB —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.61.11.148 (talk) 02:00, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've added information regarding Coleman's PRIDE 5 match against Nobuhiko Takada, the owner and booker of the Japanese professional wrestling promotion HUSTLE for which Coleman was also working at the time of the "fight". MisterJayEm (talk) 01:37, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name of movie?

[edit]

Don't see any mention of the documentary that he featured in. The name of it slipped my mind, otherwise I'd add it in myself. Mathmo Talk 09:44, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Got the name of the movie again in my head: The Smashing Machine: The Life and Times of Mark Kerr Mathmo Talk 10:03, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Julian Sanchez???

[edit]

Anybody savvy about fights way back can probably fix this. A credited win is given over some fighter named "Julian Sanchez" yet the link directs to an article about a blogger/reporter. Is this a joke or was there a fighter by that same namesake? Philosopher2king (talk) 02:04, 20 April 2008 (UTC)philosopher2king 4/19/08[reply]

Fixed. The Julian Sanchez that Coleman fought does not have a wiki article yet - BB

Shogun fight

[edit]

I added a short part noting the fight was stopped after am elbow dislocation. All other fights have been explained and so should this one. Boils (talk) 23:26, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the records are wrong. Coleman isn't able to do gogplatas :D And of course he never won against Emelianenko.

Nice gag though  :] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.82.64.218 (talk) 11:52, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Religion

[edit]

Is he Jewish? Because his last name sure seems to suggest it? Could someone please find out? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.164.222.9 (talk) 04:14, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

.... Coleman is not a "Jewish" last name. It has no connection to Israel and is not Hebrew. His name is not Jewish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.16.219.51 (talk) 07:01, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

fight against dan severn

[edit]

The article currently says Coleman defeated Dan Severn by applying a "complex submission lock known as a neck crank". This is inconsistent with his fight record, which states he won by choke, and video of the match, which shows him in a scarf hold/kesa gatame side control.

Pride Heavyweight Championship

[edit]

It's ridiculous that this article just glosses over his 2000gp win. That was his biggest moment, and it only gets a couple of sentences? Come on people. PortlandOregon97217 (talk) 09:32, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cassiopeia I am assuming good faith and inability to use ctrl+f. Unlike you, I will not be calling your edits disruptive because I am assuming in good faith that you are simply unable to use ctrl+f, or that reading is difficult for you. However, you really should try it some time - it might lead you to no longer make such hasty, hurtful edits. See this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3MP7y1vMUs Have a great day my friend. Mark’s parents’ house fire was in Ballville Township in Fremont, OH. Not Toledo, OH. 138.43.80.214 (talk) 22:21, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. The current ESPN source says it was in Toledo. Jamedeus (talk) 00:00, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
