[edit]

Should the image currently being used be cropped to focus more on the subject? I think it's big enough to do that with positive results. →Wordbuilder (talk) 22:02, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I cropped it. →Wordbuilder (talk) 20:58, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wording of Introductory Paragraph

[edit]

I think that calling Welker "one of the most prolific players" in NFL history is a misleading overstatement. I attempted to change it to reflect what I believed what was a fairer representation of the player, but it was changed back. I think it is unfair to consider an athlete who has been a part of the NFL in his all-star capacity for only 3 years, to be considered amongst the greats. I do believe that this sentence should be changed as to not mislead those who may be trying to learn about the NFL. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.199.240.241 (talk) 21:04, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're absolutely right. I will change back. Thanks. Keegscee (talk) 21:05, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

chargers to dolphins to patriots to broncos

[edit]

Wes Welker was an undrafted free agent he got signed with the chargers than they released him and the dolphins saw oppertunity so they signed him but when oppurtunity didnt come the dolphins traded him to the patriots for their 7th round pick. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.205.139.132 (talk) 04:15, 10 March 2011 (UTC) He was a long time Patriot and had 100 recptions in each of his last 5 seasons. He WAS a really reliable target for Tom Brady, but now he is a Bronco for two years mabey in two years he will go back to the pats.[reply]

40 yard dash time?

[edit]

According to his pre-draft measurables, he ran the 40 yard dash in 4.12 seconds? That cannot be correct since the record is currently tied at 4.24 (one of the record holders being RB Chris Johnson). I don't know what this should be but 4.12 can't be correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.119.41.16 (talk) 16:31, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Charity" secion vandalized

[edit]

As of 04/11/2011 (DD/MM/YYYY), it reads as follows:

"In 2007 Welker established the 83Foundation (after his uniform number in Miami and New England) to encourage all the little fat kids to get off of the Xbox and come outside for once. The foundation, renamed the Wes Welker Foundation in December 2009, claims its goal is "to influence obese youth, by encouraging their full potential through athletics and positive role models." Its work primarily benefits schools and other organizations in Welker's hometown, Kansas City, Missouri. However, rumors have spread of overexurting the children involved. At the first camp, Welker was accused of making the 212 pound 8 year-old Durrel Sanchez, vomit repetedley."

I doubt that is accurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.30.195.230 (talk) 13:37, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also dubious about "tinieheaditis." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.79.8.84 (talk) 11:10, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pro bowl appearances

[edit]

In the opening paragraph, last line, it states Welker has been to every pro bowl while he was a Patriot. This is inaccurate, he did not go to the pro bowl in 2007. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajthomas05 (talkcontribs) 13:57, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Wes Welker

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Wes Welker's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Bio":

  • From Drew Dileo: "Drew Dileo Profile". University of Michigan. {{cite web}}: Missing or empty |url= (help)
  • From Ronnie Hillman: "Ronnie Hillman profile". San Diego State University. Retrieved October 30, 2011.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 17:52, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
