Defamation case quashed:

Defamation case was filed against Republic TV's editor in chief, Arnab Goswami by a PDP leader over a broadcast on the channel. The Jammu and Kashmir High court dismissed the defamation case saying that, " In fact, upon watching the programme on the compact disk, it appears that the news anchors were at pains to emphasize the fact that their source of information is the letter in question and they go on repeatedly telling the viewers about the charges/allegations with each caption carrying question mark(?) at its end, thereby conveying to the viewers that the allegations/charges contained in the letter are yet to be established." [1] [2] [3]

If the case wasn't notable, its dismissal is not notable either. WP:NOTNEWS. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 11:25, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of Fake news section in notable incidents

Since Republic TV is pretty popular for their fake news stuff especially when they showed Arma 3 gameplay footage as Pakistan in panjshir, Fake news section should get a place in Notable incidents. ↑ "Lawyer Sudha Bharadwaj Calls Out Republic Over 'False' Allegations". Why Call Republic Blatantly Right wing?

I don't see The Hindu, ToI and all other Lutyens Mafia Media being described as Left Wing despite the fact that a vast majority of their employees having been affiliated with SFI in College. That includes the Editors Guild of India 171.76.85.216 (talk) 17:42, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
