  • Great article; new enough, long enough, comprehensive, no copyright issues. Out of an abundance of caution, I would prefer anyone with enough experience to just double check that the image is properly licensed as I see the correct material but don't wish to oversell my own ability to verify an image is licensable. Nice job! ~ Pbritti (talk) 19:12, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Plot

Production

[edit]
  • The Last of Us series creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann respectively wrote and directed "Infected" Commas around "respectively"
  • He previously predicted the experience would be significantly different than directing games, but noted several similarities after witnessing Mazin direct the first episode. Remove comma: User:Sammi Brie/Commas in sentences (CinS)
  • He spent over a month preparing for the episode as it was his first experience in directing television. Comma after "episode" for readability
  • Tess's infected son who she locked "whom"?
  • The silent conversation between Joel and Ellie was added during reshoots as executive producer Carolyn Strauss did not understand how clickers operate. Add comma after "reshoots"
  • Pascal filmed establishing shots in the area in early October, and returned for full production later in the month alongside Ramsey and Torv. Remove comma (CinS)
  • Manual tree placement was similarly required as Canadian trees Add comma after "required"
  • Shutting down the Fourth Avenue flyover that took the locations team around six to eight weeks of negotiations with the city. Remove "that"

Spot checks

[edit]
  • 2: Druckman's IGN review. frankly disgusting kiss of death, Anna Torv is terrific throughout, displaying warmth beneath a scarred, steely surface., Bella Ramsey continues to be excellent as Ellie, granting humorous relief in a world that offers very little., The frankly disgusting kiss of death pretty much validates Druckmann and Craig Mazin’s creative decision to opt for tendrils over spores as the way the fungus spreads.. Used extensively and represented accurately. checkY
  • 9: I think that there's so much authorship in the source material of The Last of Us that was essential to understanding how to approach it and how to play it. checkY
  • 24: But when we were doing Boston and we’re doing outside of Boston, that was one of the biggest challenges—just bringing in the proper greens. checkY
  • 35: Creative Arts Emmy nominee list. checkY
  • 37: they act with intention, and you can sense the emotional underpinnings in every uncomfortable pause and concerned glance, The clickers look appropriately mortifying, and somehow sound even scarier than they look., While this prologue is less compelling than anything we saw in episode 1... All good. checkY

Images

[edit]
  • Two images from Reddit have acceptable VRT tickets, as does a YouTube screenshot. A Gage Skidmore image is CC-licensed. The episode image is fair use and the subject of critical commentary.
