Template:Future Miss USA 2008, the 57th Miss USA beauty pageant, will be held in the spring of 2008 in a location yet to be determined. At the conclusion of the final night of competition, outgoing titleholder Rachel Smith will crown her successor.

Selection of contestants

One delegate from each state and District of Columbia will be chosen in state pageants held from June to December 2007.

Contestant notes

  • Miss Georgia USA, Amanda Kozak previously was Miss Georgia 2007 and competed at Miss America 2007. She placed as second runner up and will attempt to become only the fifth woman to place in the top 5 at both pageants.
  • Miss Idaho USA, Tracey Brown was previously Miss Idaho 2005. She won the Quality of Life award at Miss America 2006 and has won the Miss Post Falls and Miss Post Falls USA titles before winning her state titles at both pageants.
  • Miss Massachusetts USA, Jacqueline Bruno was also Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2003. She competed at Miss Teen USA 2003 where she was 3rd runner up.
  • Miss Michigan USA, Elisabeth Crawford won on her fifth try. Crawford previously competed at Miss Texas USA 2004 to 2006 with no success and in 2007 placed as 3rd runner up in Miss Michigan USA.
  • Miss Mississippi USA, Leah Laviano was first runner up at Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2006.
  • Miss Montana USA, Tori Wanty won on her second attempt as she competed at the 2007 Miss Montana USA pageant finishing as first runner up.
  • Miss Nevada USA, Veronica Grabowski competed at the Miss Texas Teen USA 2003 and Miss Texas USA 2007 pageants, finishing as a semifinalist in both years.
  • Miss Rhode Island USA, Amy Diaz won the Miss Rhode Island USA title on her first attempt. Diaz has competed at the Miss Florida USA 2007 pageant winning 3rd runner up.
  • Miss Tennessee USA, Hailey Brown won in her second try. She placed second runner up in the 2006 Miss Tennessee USA pageant.
  • Miss Texas USA, Crystle Stewart won on her fifth try. Stewart has previously competed at Miss Texas USA 2003 and 2005 to 2007. Stewart was a semifinalist in 2003, 3rd runner up in 2005, and 1st runner up in 2006 and 2007.
  • Miss Utah USA, Julia Marie Bachison was Miss Utah 2005 and won a preliminary swimsuit award at Miss America 2006.
  • Miss Virginia USA, Tori Hall was also Miss Virginia Teen USA 2005 and placed in the top 10 at Miss Teen USA 2005. She won both crowns on her first attempt.
  • Miss Wisconsin USA, Michelyn Cynthia Butler was first runner up at the Miss Wisconsin 2007 pageant held on June 30, 2007.
  • Miss Wyoming USA, Cassie Shore competed for the Miss Wyoming USA title for 2 years. She was a semifinalist in 2007 and winner in 2008.
