The X-Men are a team of fictional comic book mutant superheroes, as published by Marvel Comics. Characters in bold will denote a current member of the team and a slash (/) will denote codenames in chronological order.

Professor X	Charles Xavier	X-Men vol. 1 #42 (1968, back-up story).	Founder of the X-Men, original headmaster of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, later the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. Professor X lost his powers in the Decimation, as revealed in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #5. During his tenure as field leader of the Uncanny X-Men, Professor X had regained his powers. Shot in the head and possibly killed by Bishop. He was later revealed to be alive and in the possesion of the reformed Acolytes Powers: Telepathy, astral projection, mind control, illusion casting, memory manipulation, psychic blasts, and sensing the presence of other mutants.
Cyclops	Scott Summers	X-Men vol. 1 #42 (1968, back-up story).	First of the team's founding recruits and longtime field leader. Currently co-headmaster of the Xavier Institute (alongside Emma Frost) and leader of the Astonishing X-Men. Widower of Jean Grey-Summers. Powers: Laser-like beams of raw energy originating from his eyes.
Iceman	Robert Drake	X-Men vol. 1 #46 (1968, back-up story).	The second and the youngest of the team's founding members. Currently active as a member of the X-Men. Powers: Ice generation, manipulation of water, and conversion into organic ice form.
Angel	Warren Worthington III	X-Men vol. 1 #56 (1969, back-up story).	Xavier's third recruit into the team's original roster, and the only founding member to act as a costumed hero prior to joining the X-Men. Inactive as of X-Men (vol. 2) #157. Recently rejoined an X-Men strike team. Powers: Flight through the use of feathered wings on his back, hollow bones like those of a bird, eagle-like vision, blood with healing properties.
Beast	Dr. Henry McCoy	X-Men vol. 1 #53 (1969, back-up story).	Xavier's fourth recruit into the team's original lineup. Currently serves as both a member of the Astonishing X-Men and as the team's medical doctor and biologist. Powers: Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, enhanced senses, ambidexterity with hands and feet, minor pheromone manipulation, felinoid form, blue fur, night vision, claws, wall climbing.
Phoenix	Jean Grey-Summers	X-Men vol. 1 #1 (1963) as Marvel Girl.	Fifth and final recruit into the team's founding roster, although her tutelage by Xavier predates the team's inception. Originally died in Uncanny X-Men #137. Killed by Kuan-Yin Xorn in New X-Men vol. 2 #150 (2003), later resurrected by the Phoenix Force in X-Men: Phoenix: Endsong. Currently inhabits the White-Hot Room with other incarnations of the Phoenix Force. Powers: Telekinesis, telepathy. As the template of the Phoenix force she was able to generate vast amounts of energy, to convert herself into pure energy, and to manipulate objects on a subatomic scale.

Mimic	Calvin Rankin	X-Men vol. 1 #27 (1966).	Blackmailed his way into membership. First member to be expelled by Xavier in X-Men vol. 1 #29 and possibly the first non-mutant member of the team, his status as a mutant has been disputed. Last seen as a prisoner of the Thunderbolts. Powers: Copying of others' superhuman powers and abilities; sometimes permanently.
Changeling	Kevin Sidney	X-Men vol. 1 #40 (1968).	Former villain who impersonated Professor X at Xavier's request in X-Men vol. 1 #40 (1968) (behind the scenes), died while impersonating Xavier in X-Men vol. 1 #42 (1968) making him the first X-Man to die. Powers: Shape-shifting, latent telepathy.
Polaris	Lorna Dane	X-Men vol. 1 #60 (1969) as Lorna Dane.	Havok's on/off girlfriend. Revealed to be the daughter of Magneto. Active as Magnetrix in X-Men: The Hidden Years #3; active as Polaris in X-Men vol. 1 #97 (1976). Was recently depowered during M-Day, but had her powers restored after being turned into a Horseman of Apocalypse. She has recently returned to the Uncanny X-Men. Currently a member of the Starjammers, as seen in Uncanny X-Men #486. Powers: Generation of magnetic fields, used for manipulating metal, flight, force fields, and energy blasts. She also has naturally green hair.
Havok	Alexander Summers	X-Men vol. 1 #58 (1969).	Brother of Cyclops. Currently the leader of the Starjammers, as seen in Uncanny X-Men #486, after the death of his father. Powers: Plasma blasts, absorption of 'cosmic' energy.
Xavier's secret team While the original X-Men were still captives of Krakoa, Charles Xavier made his first attempt at a rescue using students from Moira MacTaggert's Muir-MacTaggert Research Center. This was not shown until a flashback in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #4 (2006), however, through retroactive continuity this places them as members of the X-Men prior to Giant Sized X-Men #1 (1975)
Vulcan	Gabriel Summers	X-Men: Deadly Genesis #4 (2006).	Originally a student of Moira MacTaggert, made an X-Man to help save the original X-Men. The third Summers brother. MIA until recently when he attacked the X-Men and kidnapped Cyclops and Marvel Girl. Current leader of the Shi'ar, after killing D'Ken and his father Corsair. Powers: Omega-level energy manipulation, flight, and unaided movement in space.
Petra	Petra Kristensen	X-Men: Deadly Genesis #4 (2006).	Originally a student of Moira MacTaggert, made an X-Man to help save the original X-Men. Killed in action in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #6. Powers: Earth manipulation, and able to change properties of rock-like materials.
Darwin	Armando Muñoz	X-Men: Deadly Genesis #4 (2006).	Originally a student of Moira MacTaggert, made an X-Man to help save the original X-Men. Currently a member of the Uncanny X-Men Powers: Constant reactive evolution.
Sway	Suzanne Chan	X-Men: Deadly Genesis #4 (2006).	Originally a student of Moira MacTaggert, made an X-Man to help save the original X-Men. Killed in action. Powers: Time manipulation, and the ability to replay events in a psychometric-like fashion.
1970s recruits
Nightcrawler	Kurt Wagner	Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975).	Currently member of the Uncanny X-Men and the new X-Men strike team; son of Mystique. Powers: Teleportation, wall-crawling, prehensile tail, blue fur, invisibility in shadows, glowing eyes.
Wolverine	James Howlett	Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975).	Nicknamed and best known as Logan. Arguably the team's most iconic member. Currently a member of the Astonishing X-Men and the New Avengers and he is the new leader of X-Force, and is seen in his own adventures recounted in Wolverine: Origins and Wolverine. Powers: Healing factor (regeneration of tissue, immunity to virtually all toxins and pathogens), enhanced senses, adamantium skeleton and retractable adamantium 'claws.'
Banshee	Sean Cassidy	Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975).	Former co-leader of the young mutant team Generation X. Quit in X-Men vol. 2 #4 (1991). Killed in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #2 (2006). Powers: Devastating sonic scream, flight, enhanced hearing.
Storm	Ororo Munroe	Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975).	Second field-leader and longtime leader of the team. She has been a continual member of the main team longer than any other from 1975 until 2000 excluding interim periods; married to the Black Panther, and a former member of the Fantastic Four and a member of the Uncanny X-Men and X-Men strike team. Powers: Weather manipulation (lighting bolts, wind, rain, etc.), flight by 'riding' wind currents.
Sunfire	Shiro Yoshida	Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975).	Quit in X-Men vol. 1 #94 (1975) after only one mission but remained an ally for years afterward. Recently served as Apocalypse's Horseman of Famine after being depowered by Rogue. Currently working for Mister Sinister on The Marauders. Powers: Generation of nuclear fire, flight by jet propulsion, absorption of and therefore immunity to various kinds of energy.
Colossus	Piotr Rasputin	Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975).	Supposedly died in finding a cure for the Legacy Virus in Uncanny X-Men #390 (2001); restored to life in Astonishing X-Men vol. 3 #4 (2004); currently a member of the Astonishing X-Men and the X-Men str. Powers: Able to convert into living steel form, granting vast superhuman strength and near-invulnerability. Can survive for long periods without oxygen while in steel form.
Thunderbird	John Proudstar	Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975).	Died in X-Men vol. 1 #95 (1975) on the team's second mission. His brother James Proudstar, a.k.a Warpath, is a member of the Uncanny X-Men. Later, an Indian mutant with energy powers joined the team under the name 'Thunderbird'. Powers: Superhuman strength, speed and durability.
1980s recruits
Shadowcat	Katherine Pryde	X-Men vol. 1 #129 (1980) as Kitty Pryde.	Current member of the Astonishing X-Men. Active as Sprite in X-Men vol. 1 #139 (1980); active as Ariel in Marvel Graphic Novel #5 (1982); active as Shadowcat in Kitty Pryde & Wolverine #5 (1985). Powers: 'Phasing' through solid objects, also allowing her to disrupt electronics and to walk on air.
Lockheed	Lockheed	Uncanny X-Men #168 (1983).	Extraterrestrial dragonoid exiled on Earth. Is sometimes considered a member of the X-Men in general. Current member of the Astonishing X-Men and a mole within the X-Men for S.W.O.R.D. Powers: Flight, empathy, firebreathing, ability to speak several languages, including English. Has shown telepathic resistance, and telepathic connection with his owner, Shadowcat.
Rogue	Anna Marie	Uncanny X-Men #171 (1983).	Has served as a field leader. Current field leader of the X-Men. Once had the powers and memories of Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers); was forced to absorb Sunfire's abilities permanently in Rogue vol. 3 #11 (2005). Has recently come back from a deep coma, and healed of viruses and alien minds in her brain. Powers: Absorbs powers, memories and personality by skin-to-skin contact. Prolonged contact can cause her to permanently absorb someone's powers and perhaps kill them.
Marvel Girl	Rachel Summers	Uncanny X-Men #188 (1984)	Daughter of Jean Grey and Cyclops from an alternate future that may never come to exist; active as Phoenix in Uncanny X-Men Annual #9 (1985); active as Marvel Girl in Uncanny X-Men #444 (2004). Currently a member of the Starjammers, as shown in Uncanny X-Men #486. Powers: Telekinesis, telepathy, and manipulation of a small amount of "Phoenix Force".
Magneto	Erik Lehnsherr	Uncanny X-Men #202 (1985).	The team's long-time enemy was briefly "redeemed" and appointed leader of the X-Men and the junior team the New Mutants; became Headmaster of the Xavier Institute in Uncanny X-Men #200 (1985). Depowered as of M-Day, only to have his powers restored by the Collective. Powers: Generation of extremely potent magnetic fields, which can be used for manipulating metal, flight.
Psylocke	Elisabeth Braddock	Uncanny X-Men #213 (1987).	Twin sister of Captain Britain a.k.a Brian Braddock. Has served as a field leader. Killed by Vargas in X-Treme X-Men #2 (2001); returned alive in Uncanny X-Men #455 (2005). Originally Caucasian but switched bodies with an Asian female assassin by the Hand which also changed and expanded her powers. Thought to be dead in New Excalibur #8, unhinged from time and currently with the Exiles. Powers: Telekinesis, immunity to any physical or mental alteration, telekinetic katana.
Dazzler	Alison Blaire	Uncanny X-Men #214 (1987).	Popular singer and public mutant. Went through Siege Perilous when team disbanded in Uncanny X-Men #251 (1989). Currently a member of Excalibur. Powers: Converts sonic energy into various forms of light, including laser-like beams, brilliant flashes, and holograms.
Longshot	Unknown	Uncanny X-Men #215 (1987).	A warrior from an alternate reality, the Mojoverse; not a mutant but a genetically engineered being. Quit in Uncanny X-Men #248. Currently a member of the Exiles. Powers: Incredible 'luck' through subconscious manipulation of quantum probability fields, enhanced strength and agility, psychometry. Signature weapon is shuriken-type blades, which his luck power enables him to throw with superhuman accuracy.
Forge	Unknown	Uncanny X-Men #255 (1989).	Quit in Uncanny X-Men #290 (1992). Former leader of X-Factor, currently provides technical support to the X-Men and their allies. Powers: Superhuman invention (imagines a new technology, intuitively knows how to construct it), limited magical abilities, arm and leg replaced by advanced mechanical prosthetics.
1990s recruits
Wondra	Jubilation Lee	Uncanny X-Men #273 (1990).	Ran away from home to live in a mall, where she found about her powers. Joined the X-Men after saving Wolverine's life. After being depowered through Decimation, joined the New Warriors. Powers: Super strength and flight through advanced technology. Formerly could project and control explosive plamoids.
Gambit	Remy LeBeau	Uncanny X-Men Annual #14 (1990).	Former thief who has served as field leader. Joined forces with Apocalypse in X-Men (vol. 2) #184. Currently working for Mister Sinister. Powers: 'Charges' objects with energy, causing them to glow and explode; enhanced agility, hypnotic charm. Signature weapon is regular playing cards 'charged' with energy, having the effect of grenades when thrown. Also uses Japanese bo staff with great skill; hi-tech bo staff can channel his powers.
Bishop	Lucas Bishop	Uncanny X-Men #287 (1992).	Police officer from an alternate future. Left the X-Men to side with O*N*E. Currently one of Iron Man's pro-registration forces guarding Negative Zone prison. Powers: Can absorb all forms of electromagnetic energy (light, heat, electricity, etc.) and channel this absorbed energy into blasts or enhanced strength. Also has bionic arm with enhanced strength, retractable pincers, and time travelling capabilities.
Revanche	Kwannon	X-Men vol. 2 #20 (1993).	Former assassin who "switched" bodies with Psylocke (see her entry for details). Died in X-Men (vol. 2) #32 (1994). Powers: Telepathy, psychic 'blades,' empathy.
Cannonball	Samuel Guthrie	X-Force vol. 1 #44 (1995).	First seen as an X-Man in Uncanny X-Men #323. Former member and field leader of the New Mutants and X-Force, first member of an affiliated team to "graduate" to permanent status as an X-Man. Current member of the X-Men. Powers: Propelled flight, kinetic blasts, protective forcefield.
Joseph	Unknown, genetic clone of Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto)	Uncanny X-Men #338 (1996).	Clone of Magneto, died in X-Men (vol. 2) #87 (1999) saving the world. Powers: Generation of extremely potent magnetic fields, used used for manipulating metal, flight, force fields, electrical bolts, and electromagnetic radiation.
Cecilia Reyes	Cecilia Reyes	X-Men vol. 2 #70 (1997).	Surgeon whose being a mutant was exposed during Operation: Zero Tolerance, reluctantly joined, last seen imprisoned in concentration camp in Weapon X vol. 2 #5. Powers: Generation of forcefield, which can also be used offensively.
Marrow	Sarah	X-Men vol. 2 #70 (1997).	Apparently left the team after losing control of mutation during six-month gap between Uncanny X-Men #380 and X-Men vol. 1 #100. Currently appearing in X-Factor as part of the X-Cell, where she appears to be depowered. Powers: Currently has bones sticking out of body. Formerly able generate knives and weapons made of bone from her body, healing factor, enhanced strength and agility, two hearts.
Maggott	Japheth	X-Men vol. 2 #70 (1997).	South African mutant searching for Magneto. Died in Weapon X vol. 2 #5 (2002), however survived by one of his two slugs Eeany and Meany. Powers: Two maggot-like creatures form his digestive system and cause his skin to turn blue when in him. The maggots can consume anything, and provide him with enhanced strength, and psychometry.
X-Man	Nate Grey	Astonishing X-Men vol. 2 #2 (1999).	Son of Jean Grey from the Age of Apocalypse, died in X-Man #75 (2001) saving the earth from an alien menace. Powers: Telepathy, telekinesis, psychometry, precognition, cross-dimensional travel.
2000s recruits
Cable	Nathan Summers	Uncanny X-Men #381 (2000).	Son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, who travelled to alternate future and then came back as an adult. Former member of the X-Men. Supposedly died protecting his island Providence from an attack from Gambit and Sunfire in X-Men (vol. 2) 200, but returned back to life in X-Men #205. Powers: Telekinesis imbued by parasitic entity, techno-organic material on left side of body, resulting in technological advancements and enhanced strength on said side.
Thunderbird	Neal Shaara	X-Men Unlimited vol. 1 #27 (2000).	First seen as an X-Man in X-Men vol. 2 #100 (2000). Quit in X-Treme X-Men #19. Powers: Generate plasma blasts, which can also be used for flight.
Sage	Tessa	X-Men vol. 2 #109 (2000) as Tessa.	Had been working with Professor X off-panel since before X-Men (vol. 1) #1, spied on the Hellfire Club for several years; active as Sage in X-Men (vol. 2) #109. Quit in Uncanny X-Men #454. Current member of Excalibur. Powers: Computer-like brain, mutant sensing, jumpstarting mutations, telepathy.
Moonstar	Danielle Moonstar	X-Men vol. 1 #102 (2000).	Employee of the Xavier Institute and former New Mutant, who was a part-time X-Man in only one mission. Currently depowered after the Decimation. Currently an instructor at Camp Hammond. Powers: Formerly capable of casting illusions, communication with animals, sense of death.
White Queen	Emma Frost	New X-Men vol. 1 #116 (2001).	Current headmistress of the Xavier Institute and part of the Astonishing X-Men. Former White Queen of the Hellfire Club's Inner Circle; former headmistress of the Massachusetts Academy's Hellions and of Generation X. Powers: Telepathy, able to convert into diamond form.
Decibel	Jonothon Starsmore	Uncanny X-Men #398 (2001).	Formerly known as Chamber.Former member of Generation X. Initially depowered following the events of M-Day, powers since restored by Clan Akkaba. Currently a member of New Warriors. Powers: Unknown abilities granted by Apocalypse's blood as well as tech that allows him to control sound for telekinesis, flight, and construct creation. Formerly possessed energy blasts and telepathy.
Kuan-Yin Xorn	Kuan-Yin Xorn	New X-Men Annual 2001.	Exact nature and identity of character not fully known (see entry for details), died in New X-Men (vol. 1) #150 (2004). Powers: A star in his head, vitakinesis, manipulation of electromagnetism and gravity.
Ripcord	Miranda Leevald	Uncanny X-Men #400 (2002).	Formerly, and best known as Stacy X. Former prostitute who joined X-Men team. Quit in Uncanny X-Men #422. Currently depowered after the effects of Decimation. Recently joined the New Warriors team Powers: Uses tech that grants wall crawling, enhanced jumping, retractable metal coils, and flight. Formerly had snake-like skin, pheromone-generation and manipulation.
Lifeguard	Heather Cameron	X-Treme X-Men #10 (2002).	Sister of Slipstream, half Shi'ar; lover of Thunderbird. Quit in X-Treme X-Men #19. Powers: Adaptive powers to protect others. After a recent change, she now permanently has golden skin, wings, and claws.
Slipstream	Davis Cameron	X-Treme X-Men #10 (2002).	Brother of Lifeguard, half Shi'ar; was a latent mutant but powers were jumpstarted by Sage to save his sister and Gambit. Quit in X-Treme X-Men #18. Apparently depowered after M-Day (Decimation). Powers: Formerly had warpspeed teleportation started by a special surfboard.
Northstar	Jean-Paul Beaubier	Uncanny X-Men #414 (2002).	First openly gay X-Man. Former member of Alpha Flight; removed from active duty in X-Men vol. 2 #157 (2004) by Cyclops. Killed by a brainwashed Wolverine in Wolverine vol. 3 #25; resurrected by HYDRA in Wolverine vol. 3 #26. Recently was brainwashed by The Children of the Vault, but then restored by Rogue's X-Men team, and is currently under their care. Powers: Superhuman speed, flight, generation of light.
Husk	Paige Guthrie	Uncanny X-Men #421 (2003).	Former Generation X member; Cannonball's sister; Archangel's lover; removed from active duty in X-Men (vol. 1) #157 (2004) by Cyclops. Powers: Can change her outer body composition by shedding skin.
Juggernaut	Cain Marko	Uncanny X-Men #425 (2003).	Formerly a long-time villain and Xavier's stepbrother; not a mutant. After leaving the X-Men, was briefly a member of Excalibur, but he recently left the team, and his current status is unknown. Powers: Superhuman strength and endurance, forcefield, regeneration, "unstoppable". He is virtually immortal, and does not need to eat or breathe.
Shen Xorn	Shen Xorn	X-Men vol. 2 #162 (2004).	Twin brother of Magneto imposter Kuan-Yin Xorn; Part of the X-Men in their fight against Exodus' Brotherhood. Left in X-Men (vol. 1) #164 (2005). Depowered after the effects of Decimation. Powers: Formerly had a black hole in his head, telepathy.
Mystique	Raven Darkholme	X-Men (vol. 2) #181 (2006).	Former leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, foster mother of Rogue and mother of Nightcrawler. Voted a probational member in X-Men (vol. 2) #174; former member of Rogue's squad, who defected to the Marauders. Powers: Shapeshifting, retarded aging, enhanced senses, blue skin and yellow eyes, poison immunity, minor reactive abilities.
Warpath	James Proudstar	Uncanny X-Men #475 (2006).	Former member of the Hellions and X-Corporation. Current member of X-Force. Powers: Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, durability, and senses; flight.
Sabretooth	Victor Creed	X-Men (vol. 2) #192 (2006).	Long time foe of the X-Men and Wolverine. Formerly a member of the Marauders, the Brotherhood of Mutants and Weapon X; former member and prisoner of the X-Men. Recently managed to escape the X-Men after a huge accident on Cable's island Providence only to be killed by Wolverine in Wolverine #55. Powers: Superhuman strength, enhanced senses, healing factor, razor-sharp claws and teeth, highly resistant to telepathic detection and control.
Omega Sentinel	Karima Shapandar	X-Men (vol. 2) #192 (2006).	Omega Prime Sentinel. Former member of the Genoshan Excalibur; former member of the X-Men. Recently had body taken over by the Marauder Malice and forced to betray the team. Now cured and working to restore Xavier's mind. Powers: Cyborg; possesses superhuman strength, speed and resistance, regeneration, flight, electrostatic poles mounted on her arms, unspecified weapons and mechanisms that retract into her body. She can also control and "speak" to machines.
Lady Mastermind	Regan Wyngarde	X-Men vol. 2 #192 (2006).	Former ally of Sebastian Shaw, daughter of Mastermind and half-sister of Martinique Jason. Former member of the X-Men who has defected to the Marauders. Recently stabbed in the chest, and possibly dead. Powers: Projection of extremely realistic illusions into the minds of others, telepathy.
Armor	Hisako Ichiki	Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #20 (2007).	Member of the Astonishing X-Men and a student at the Xavier Institute. Powers: Ability to generate psionic body armor that grants superhuman strength and durability.
Hepzibah	(Unpronounceable)	Uncanny X-Men #486 (2007).	Former member of the Starjammers. Joined the X-Men before X-Force in Messiah Complex after losing her lover, Corsair, and being stranded on Earth. Now back with the X-Men. Powers: Enhanced agility, speed, and reflexes, retractable claws, hyper-keen senses, mind-altering pheromones and night vision.
Caliban	Unknown	Uncanny X-Men #487 (2007).	Former member of the Morlocks. Joined X-Force before his death in New X-Men #45. Powers: Ability to sense and track other mutants, superhuman strength, speed, endurance, reflexes, and durability, as well as clawed fingernails.
Dust	Sooraya Qadir	Young X-Men #1 (2008).	Afghan mutant. She was member of the Hellions Squad and the New X-Men. Recruited in the X-Men by Cyclops to kill the New Brotherhood. Powers: Capable of turning body to sand, causing the sand to move quick enough to tear through flesh, very hard to telepathically locate. This form is also somewhat resistant to magic.
Rockslide	Santo Vaccarro	Young X-Men #1 (2008).	Former member of the Hellions Squad and the New X-Men. Recruited in the X-Men by Cyclops along with Blindfold, to kill the New Brotherhood. Powers: Psionic entity capable of forming a "golem" form by assimilating surrounding rock and earth into a gestalt shell, adopting the properties of the matter used. Can explosively detonate the shell and reform at will. Super strength, durability, and endurance seem to appear in any form.

Died in Uncanny X-Men (vol.1) #306 Powers: After being assimilated by the Phalanx, she gained the ability to assimilate others, was part of a hive organism, and was made of techno-organic material. Multiple Man	James Madrox	Giant Size Fantastic Four #4 (1975).	Mister Fantastic alerted Professor X to his existence and left him in his custody. He was offered membership many times over the years but always refused, however remained a staunch ally. Eventually joined Moira's splinter Muir Island X-Men (see below). Currently leader of X-Factor Investigations. Powers: Multiple Man can create over forty duplicates of himself. He has shown to have a near-telepathic connection with his "dupes" and can absorb them whenever he wants to. All the information the dupes learned are transferred to the main Madrox once absorbed.
Moira MacTaggert	Moira MacTaggert	X-Men (vol. 1) #96 (1975).	Longtime ally of Xavier's before he created the X-Men. A geneticist who aided the team for most of its existence until her death in X-Men (vol. 2) #108 (2000). Powers: None, human. However, she has shown some uncanny "abilities". She has an immunity to her sons (Proteus) powers, as well as an immunity to the Legacy Virus, which usually attacks mutants. She has also been shown having a ghost-like form.
Ms. Marvel	Carol Danvers	Avengers Annual #10 (1981).	Between losing her powers as Ms. Marvel and gaining her powers as Binary, Carol was a resident of Xavier's school. Refused membership when Xavier offered it to Rogue. Powers: Superhuman strength, speed, and durability, flight, energy absorption and photon blasts.
Energizer	Katie Power	Uncanny X-Men #195 (1985).	A founding member of Power Pack. Was made an Honorary member of the X-Men after her siblings were captured by the Morlocks. Katie helped the X-Men capture those responsible, and even received a leather X-Men jacket. Powers: Received her powers from a Kymellian, and alien species. These abilities allowed her to absorb energy, disintegrate matter to get energy from its mass, plasma bursts from her chest, and a healing ability amplified by her siblings' presence.
Goblin Queen	Madelyne Pryor	Uncanny X-Men #221 (1987).	Madelyne began staying with the X-Men when Cyclops left her to form X-Factor. She stayed with the X-Men until she became the Goblin Queen during Inferno. Powers: Being a clone of Jean Grey she possessed the same telekinetic and telepathic abilities, just at a lower level of power than Jean has. Gambit's squad No name was ever given to the squad. First appeared in X-Men vol. 2 #171, disbanded in New X-Men vol. 2 #23. Strangely this team had only five members until Foxx arrived and not six. The other members may have died.
