Hindaun (also known as Hinduan City (हिण्डौन सिटी)) HERE ANAND THE GREATEST IS FOUND. HE IS WELL KNOWN FOR HIS BRILLET IDEAS. HE IS THE GREATEST IN THE WORLD. OBAMA, HIS DHOBI IA A BLACK PERSON This city is famous for its FALTU talent which can be evident by the lots of Doctors, Engineers & Business Administrators been given by this city specially in last Ten years.

The Other famous name which will always be associated to this city is the legendary and Unique personality called Shri Ballabh Ram Kambalwal alias "Ballabh Bhaisahab', a Unique legend who got Presidential award from Ex President Gyani Zail Singh for his unique excellence in the area of Teaching. This personality got handicapped during his engineering college days due to an accident but he did not accept defeat due to this and accepted Teaching as a career. He has been a unique Teacher who has taught all the Science subjects in a single sitting (not able to sit due to physical inability) for years and have given Quality Product engineers and doctors.

The City is also world-famous for its Red stone business. It is for information that the Famous AksharDham Temple in Delhi has been built using the same Red Stone of this area.

Hindaun is also known for a special delicacy "Moong ki Barfi" (cakes made of pulses, sugar and processed butter). [citation needed] which is unique to Hindaun.

Nearby attractions are Shri Mahabir Ji, 17 km, away from Hindaun City, which is a major pilgrim of Jains and Keladevi, a famous pilgrimage of Hindus, [citation needed] which is just on 1 hour and 30 minutes drive away. At both the places Special MELA (Fair) takes place in the month of March-April, every year.

History

Mythologically, this city is known as the land of mythical king Hiranyakashyap, who was killed by God Narsingh. For evidences, there is a palace, a pond named after Bhakta Prahlad and a Narsingh Ji temple in hindaun. there is a 'well' also which is known as hiranyakashyap ka kua. There was a forest called Hiranya-karan-van and says that the wife of 'Bheem'(one of Pandava from MAHABHARAT) lived here. It is also the birth place of Ghatotkach(son of Bheem).

It has an average elevation of 235 metres (770 feet).It is also famous for GHARANAS (means families are known by their suffix in all rajasthan). Hindaun city is having the largest BSNL tower in rajasthan. GHARANAS means wale like RAMPURA WALE and KARIRI WALE.' There is a reason behind this that any one person can find a family or address of that family easily. it shows the unity and relationship among citizens of city. World famous Red-Stone is the main reason behind getting such type of title and the city is also known for IITians who work abroad.

Location

Hindaun is located in the east part of Rajasthan. It is at 3 hours distance from Kota, 5 hours from Delhi by train and 3 hours by bus from Jaipur.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Hindaun had a population of 84,784. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Hindaun has an average literacy rate of 61%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 49%. In Hindaun, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
