Buffalo Airways is a family run charter and scheduled airline based in Hay River, Northwest Territories, Canada. It was established May 13, 1970 by Joe McBryan (also known as Buffalo Joe) and operates scheduled passenger services and cargo and passenger charter services, as well as firefighting and fuel services. Its main base is Hay River Airport (CYHY) and two other bases at Yellowknife Airport (CYZF) and Red Deer Regional Airport (CYQF).

Clothing Company & Television Show

In 2007 Buffalo Airways started to produce a clothing line. The first products include t-shirts, hoodies and hats. With the introduction of the Canwest Global television show Ice Pilots NWT which features the day to day operations at the Buffalo Airways hanger in Yellowknife, Buffalo has expanded their clothing company to feature over 30 products and launched a full service product website called BuffaloAirWear.com.

Buffalo Air Express

Buffalo Air Express, operation since 1982, is the largest courier service in the Northwest Territories and also has a door-to-door network with over 400 communities in Northern Alberta.

Buffalo School of Aviation

The Buffalo School of Aviation offers a wide range of training programs to suit your company's needs. In today's fast paced environment, let the Buffalo School of Aviation take care of your employee training. The Buffalo School of Aviation offers a two year, Transport Canada approved, program consisting of approximately 1800 hours of instruction. Instruction is divided into 40% theory in a classroom setting to provide an understanding of the principles that the students will be exposed to, and 60% practical portion of the course. Practical projects are designed to reinforces understanding of theory taught throughout the course. The Buffalo School of Aviation offers many different airline related career training programs and will provide third service contract training as needed to other airlines, especially those too small to run their own.[1]
