The use of Concert in Bangkok Image

I find the picture inserted in 2008 section of rise to fame when they are in bangkok a little derogatory and a works of a DBSK anti-fan who's intent is to hurt their image. I mean, what is the purpose of using such a picture? It does not actually relate to the content in the paragraph, nor does it actually show them properly, nor does it display their popularity (albeit the statement that they are in bangkok -- big whoop -- we only see a black background). All I can see it as is a prank -- to make them look uncoordinated and untalented.Darkmedival (talk) 09:13, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TVXQ record?????

Hey, but anyone notice that actually PURPLE LINE is not the first single DBSK top the oricon chart. They topped the chart for the first time with "SUMMER~Summer Dream/Song for you/Love in the Ice~", which means they broke the record for 3 top singles with "Beautiful you" already and means that "Share the world/We are" is their 7th single to top the chart, not the 6th one. Can I actually fix it on the site?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dickyku (talkcontribs) 03:18, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Purple Line" is the first single to top the Oricon. "Summer: Summer Dream/Song for You/Love In the Ice" was their first single to reach number-one on the daily chart not the weekly chart. And the weekly chart is the one that matters, not the daily. 03:35, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tours..............

Anyone have any ideas about putting a box for the tours of TVXQ...... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dickyku (talkcontribs) 13:47, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lawsuit against SM

I did a quick summary of the two Korea Times articles ([1] and [2]), but there's still a lot to be added. There's another article here => [3] on the lawsuit. Not sure if SM's released a statement yet. We'll see. - rairakku(talk to me) 19:28, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I was thinking that the lawsuit stuff should be put on the individual members' pages since they're not filing it as a group... but since it affects the group as a whole, maybe it should stay here (or does it? rumors of disbanding have been squashed). idk opinions...? D: - rairakku(talk to me) 19:46, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The lawsuit has nothing to do with TVXQ, only three of the members and nowhere in what was added does it show an affect on the group as a whole, so it does not belong in the article. Maybe in the concerning members' pages, but not here. MS (Talk|Contributions) 00:43, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tours and SMtown

Hey I just put up the tours and SMtown section. Is it OK? Please don't delete it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dickyku (talkcontribs) 14:36, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

name? shouldn't it be DBSK instead of TVXQ?

They are a Korean band and I think more widely known by their Korean name. So why is the article entitled using the Chinese version of their name? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.187.216.110 (talk) 00:28, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TVXQ is the name they are known by in English, so that is the name we use. MS (Talk|Contributions) 00:30, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reassessment

The article has become very messy lately, and I doubt it meets GA standard anymore. I am not one of the major contributer to this article, so I feel that it is not in my place to put it up for reassessment nor do I want to until I get some feedback from the editors who do contributes to this. What do you guys think? SandylovesMicky (talk) 18:19, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It does not matter if you are a major contributor to the article or not. If you feel the article no longer meets the GA standard then go ahead a request a reassessment. As the one who worked on the article and made it GA material I have no objections about it. MS (Talk|Contributions) 18:32, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GA Reassessment

This discussion is transcluded from Talk:TVXQ/GA2. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the reassessment.

After reviewing this article, I have come to the conclusion that this article needs some work to meet current criteria, outlined below:

  • The "2008–present: Commercial success" section needs to be tidied up and reword. There are too many little paragraphs in that section that can be combined. Additionally, the paragraphs that starts with The group's live DVD is not sourced. I doubt the source at the end of the paragraph, I'm assuming as I am not Japanese, does not source the entire paragraph.
The reference at the end of the paragraph does source the entire thing. You could use Google translate to see that.
  • The "Musical style" has an extended tag on it. Upon checking, the tag has been there since April 2009 (almost a year now) and if it's still there, then obviously the section is not complete and must be address. The "Lyrics and composition" also needs to be clean up. It gets confusing to read "Nae Gyeote Sumsiur Su Ittdamyeon (White Lie)" (네 곁에 숨쉴 수 있다면). If the Japanese songs can be written as "Kiss Shita Mama, Sayonara" (Kissしたまま、さよなら, lit. As We Kiss, Goodbye), I'm sure something can be done with the Korean songs. Title of songs should be in quotation marks as well.
I had put that tag there in hopes of some other editor could add more with sources. I did search for more sources so it could be expanded, however, none could be found. As for the songs, since there is no template for Korean terms, there is no way to make it look like the Japanese song titles. The most I can think of doing is this "Nae Gyeote Sumsiur Su Ittdamyeon (White Lie)" (네 곁에 숨쉴 수 있다면 (White Lie); If I Can Only Breathe Next To You).
  • The lead does not adequately cover the entire contents of the article (WP:LEAD)

I'm going to wait for feedback first to see what other editors say of this. If seven days have gone by and there are no feedback, I'm delisting it.SandylovesMicky (talk) 21:03, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry you had to wait for feedback. I would have replied earlier but I thought I'd give the other editors a chance to improve the article since they view my editing of the article ownership. But since none of them replied I'll do it. MS (Talk|Contributions) 23:05, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate that you were trying to change or tweak the article, MS. Kudos to you. However, as it has been 7 days and some of the things still remain (thank you for explaining some of the things to me, by the way. MUCH appreciated), what do you think? I still don't think it meets GA standards anymore, but we should come to a consensus first. SandylovesMicky (talk) 21:43, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I was waiting for you to reply before I started to edit the article to see if you agreed with some of what I wrote. However, if you want to de-list it then go ahead. I'll just work on the problems and redo the GA process again. MS (Talk|Contributions) 22:39, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I was waiting for more editors to voice their opinions, but I suppose since no one else wants to throw their two cents in, I'm de-listing it.SandylovesMicky (talk) 04:12, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
