RE:Are you implying that I am a sockpuppet?

No, I am not. At the time I tagged your comments with {{spa}}, your only 3 edits were to that AfD. It is very unusual that a user's first edit be to an AfD, and it is certainly strange that you have such knowledge of policy being a new user. Please note that the use of {{spa}} is common practice, and in no way is meant to imply that you are a sockpuppet, at least the way I used it. I regret nothing, and I am not willing to apologize, for I did nothing wrong. I do apologize, though, if I am sounding bity, but your editing pattern is unusual, to say the least. Also, please stop saying "warn editor" on every AfD you participate, as we all are humans and make mistakes. It is not common practice to yell and warn new users like you think they should. Happy editing! --Boricuaeddie 02:11, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE:How would I customize my username like you?

I don't understand. --Boricuaeddie 02:11, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. There's no article on that, but, if you want, I can design one for you. Just tell me the colors you want and where you want it to link (your talk or userpage). --Boricuaeddie 02:14, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by fade? --Boricuaeddie 02:20, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry. The fade in sigs is okay, but the colors you want would violate WP:SIG, as they are very hurtful to the eyes. You will need to choose solid colors. --Boricuaeddie 02:24, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. It'll probably take some time (one day). I'll start tomorrow, as it is quite late where I live. Happy editing! --Boricuaeddie 02:29, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure! I'm working on your sig as we speak. --Boricuaeddie 16:18, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Enjoy the BBQ! When you come back, you'll have a surprise... :-) --Boricuaeddie 16:29, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oops. You're going to have to use the middle one. The others are too long. Sorry! --Boricuaeddie 16:48, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I know. Unfortunately, the sigs you asked for are too long. You're going to have to use the one that doesn't fade. Sorry! --Boricuaeddie 18:09, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And now? --Boricuaeddie 18:13, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Now I can easily get to your talk page :-) Happy editing! --Boricuaeddie 18:17, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately, I don't believe I have the community's trust, so I'd rather not go through the stress of requesting adminship. Thanks anyway! --Boricuaeddie 03:22, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding edits to Urban Dictionary

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, James Luftan! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. Re: Userpage design request

Hi Jim! A pleasant surprise. I would simply love to design your userpage, but as I keep saying - I'm only good at stealing page designs. If you like the layered page design which is so Phaedrielish, then I think I could definitely help you out. Please let me know what colour combination you'd prefer, etc. And if there's any more information that you'd like to put up on your userpage, do lemme know. aJCfreak yAk 07:21, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jim... I've been foolin around a bit in my sandbox. How's this for an initial design construct? Anyways, I'm logging out now. Will resume work on it again at around 07.30 UTC. Lemme know if you've any more requests regarding the design/construction, etc. :) aJCfreak yAk 16:28, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
C'est finit! You may revert back to me with comments... ;) aJCfreak yAk 09:27, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't my friend Ajc simply wonderful? :) (say yes, James, sweetie!) Anyway, I've taken note of you rrequest, and please, rest assured I'll get to work on your userpage as soon as I possibly can. And don't hesitate to let me know your preferences regarding colors, or layout; in fact, that makes my task easier! :) Have a beautiful day, Phaedriel - 23:05, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Editing Request

Hi, there-

I've been diligently working on my page (Margolis Brown Adaptors Company) and since you made some comments earlier, I would like to have your input and -if it's acceptable- your vote for it's survival or any advice you may have to improve it. Thanks!

WP:Films Welcome

Welcome!

Hey, welcome to the Films WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.

A few features that you might find helpful:

  • Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.

There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

  • Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
  • Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Film Tasks template to see how you can help.

  • Want to collaborate on articles? The Cinema Collaboration of the Week picks an article every week to work on together.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 17:06, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE:One quick question

I really don't know. You may want to ask an admin. You haven't been blocked from editing Wikipedia; Your block log is clear. Maybe it's a bug? --Boricuaeddie 19:51, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article is not about the campaign of a candidate but his views on issues. This has its own category. The page should not be merged because it would clutter up the Michael Bloomberg page. The information is sourced and encyclopedic it should not be deleted or merged but have its own article. I ask you to please reconsider your vote per Savidan.--Southern Texas 19:58, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I think the consensus in this discussion is that a merge is ok, and since there was a merge, we have to keep the article history for a GFDL. Since you're the only person arguing delete, and your delete indicated acceptance of a merge, I think it can be closed, but just to be sure, if you don't disagree with closing early, please let me know. If you do agree, then you can note it on the discussion page. FrozenPurpleCube 05:26, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bono on phila daily news.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bono on phila daily news.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:52, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Obama in Somali garb

I don't think the "controversy" about Obama in the Somali garb is notable enough for it to have an article of it's own, or for it to be included in the main Barack Obama article. On the other hand, it is definitely notable enough to be included in the Barack Obama presidential campaign, 2008 article. --Bobblehead (rants) 03:00, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NYC Meetup: Saturday, December 4

We meet outside by the trees at 5:00 PM.

Our next Wikipedia NYC Meetup is this weekend on Saturday Dec 4 at Brooklyn Museum during their awesome First Saturdays program, starting at 5 PM.

A particular highlight for the wiki crowd will be 'Seductive Subversion: Women Pop Artists, 1958–1968', and the accompanying "WikiPop" project, with specially-created Wikipedia articles on the artists displayed on iPads in the gallery.

This will be a museum touring and partying meetup, so no excuses about being a shy newbie this time. Bring a friend too!

help appreciated!

Hi ! I am new to wiki so i hope I'm typing this in the right spot! I'm reaching out to other users for help. As I understand it, I need to track down an established wiki editor to help me rid the first article i've created ("Stone and Stone")of the ugly box that was posted on top "This article has multiple issues....".

I know exactly how these complaints came about. In my ignorance on how wiki works, I gave myself the same nickname as the subject I was writing on and then a whole drama ensued, as it was assumed that I was my subject and that I was writing an autobiography! In truth, I am a huge comedy fan and biographer and was dipping my toes for the first time in wikipedia waters!

Any help or solutions you could provide me when you get the chance would be greatly appreciated! This poor little article certainly doesn't deserve such an ugly heading box because of my wiki-ignorance! Thank you in advance for your time! Comedybiographer (talk) 10:54, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
