Govt. M.A.O College Lahore (Government Muhammadan Anglo Oriental College), commonly known as M.A.O College is among the oldest educational institutions in Lahore, Pakistan. It is adjacent to Civil Secretariat Lahore. It was founded in 1933 by Anjuman-e-Islamia at Amritsar. It had played significant role in the creation of Pakistan. After the partition of Subcontinent in 1947, the college was shifted to Lahore. Professor S. Mercado was appointed as the first Principal of college after its establishment in 1933.
