Jai McDowall

Jai McDowall is a Scottish singer who won the fifth series of the talent show Britain's Got Talent.[4][5][6]. He will perform at the 2011 Royal Variety Performance[7].

Early and personal life

McDowall lives in Tarbolton in Ayrshire in Scotland where he worked as a support worker prior to winning Britain's Got Talent.[8].

Career

McDowall auditioned in Glasgow for the fifth series of Britain's Got Talent.[citation needed] McDowall received positive comments from judges, Michael McIntyre, Amanda Holden and David Hasslehoff with Hasslehoff appearing as an early favourite of McDowall.[citation needed] On 4 June 2011, McDowall won the final of Britain's Got Talent.[9][10][11] He won £100,000 and will perform at the 2011 Royal Variety Performance.[12]
